ISKCONs most tragic betrayal – Betrayal of the Spirit
This website of Nori Muster [Nandini dasi] is a compilation of the dark side/history of the Hare Krsna movement. It existed, and still does is many of the same ways and has morphed today into even worse versions of similar madness. These are the documents that the author Nori Muster (Nandini dasi) used to write the book: “Betrayal of the Spirit.” The original collection is now archived at the special collections library at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
It is not for those who have weak stomachs or who dont want to hear “bad” things about the “Hare Krsnas”. It is a laborious documentation of newspaper articles, cartoons, sankirtan changeup techniques, articles about deprogramming, leaders who conspired against Prabhupada, stories of kidnapped devotees, crazies who joined temples, and as her book title states — The Betrayal Files.
You will need Acrobat Reader to read these files. The downloading process takes several minutes for each link, so be patient. Some items were scanned sideways or upside down, but Acrobat Reader can turn them around for you to read. Acrobat can also enlarge the documents to make them easier to read. If you have trouble downloading the documents, contact the webmaster (http://norimuster.com/).
To download and install Acrobat Reader click here. The basic program (“Reader”) is free.

Tamal Krishna letter, July 9, 1977
Editor’s note: this is the letter Tamal Krishna sent to all the temples to set the stage for the eleven guru system. The next section, Guru Reform, is what took place after the eleven zonal guru system started to fail. The main thing that got reformed was the number of gurus permitted in ISKCON.

THE VOICE – VOICE mandates to speak freely our version of reality in gurukula. This is presented as a growing number of critical and thoughtful articles on the Hare Krishna movement. VOICE is and will remain autonomous and non-affiliated. We are, according to our research, the only group to be talking publicly about our traumatic childhoods in Iskcon. There is a need for our experiences of abuse and neglect, over the past 25 years, to be heard.
