We Are Not Famous – {Poem}

we are not famous,
nor,
do we aspire to be.
our desire for name, fame and privileges have been beautifully crushed.
there will be no pranams mantras eulogizing our acts.
there will be no murtis delegating our position.
there will be no memory of our identities.
who we are
is just a scattered bunch of Vaikuntha Loka rejects,
but our desire for pure devotional service has left the cosmos
we will
always
be known as unknowns,
but,
we are attempting to do the perfect thing.
this spreading of Lord Caitanya’s Sankirtana Movement
by
surrendering to Srila Prabhupada and His Requests.
following the four principles of freedom.
diligently chanting our japa.
distributing His Books.
sharing Sri Krsna Prasadam.
radiating the Holy Names of Sri Hari.
it is Srila Prabhupada and Sri Krsna Who will be duly remembered,
not the complete unknowns.
no,
we are not famous,
we never aspire to be,
but
our unknown cups overflow with willingness.
willingness to execute His orders.
cheerfully staying determined.
pleased to be awake.
voluntarily giving everything,
and,
we
are here. *
