Āsavam is an Āyur-vedic medical Preparation

They then decorated her with very excellent and valuable jewels, which shone brightly. Next they offered her food containing all good qualities, and a sweet, inebriating drink called āsavam.

Āsavam is an Āyur-vedic medical preparation; it is not a liquor. It is especially made from drugs and is meant to improve metabolism for the healthy condition of the body.

The Bhaktivedanta purport of the Third Canto, Twenty-third Chapter, of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam,entitled “Devahūti’s Lamentation.” Text 29

In the medical science of the ancient sages, known as the Āyur-veda as of today more than 1,200 species of plants, nearly 100 minerals and over 100 animal products comprise the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia. ASAVA and Arishta are unique dosage form discovered by Ayurveda having indefinite shelf life and it was said that the “older the better it is”

It is fascinating to see that all kind of herbs and minerals have a certain potency and when combined can do wonders. The lowly weed in the garden than becomes a therapeutic tea or subji and earth in the form of “Medicinal Clay” purifies the body of accumulated metabolic or other poisonous substances. According to Scripture mountains and stones are the bones and plants and trees are the hairs on the body of the Lord. If looked at it this way it is of course not surprising that they have these potencies as the Supreme Lord is the Supreme Powerful in as much as that our material bodies are also made up of these same ingredients. The interest the medical industry has in these natural, powerful substances is not surprising as they want to exploit these God given gifts and put a patent on them.

It is not the matter of IF one has to give up the body but WHEN and HOW. The IF we cannot influence but the WHEN and HOW. Leaving the body in a relatively clean body and a clear mind is a great boon and these simple things like fresh herbs, spices and clean earth are so easily available, almost free and so full of potency why not use them.

This I discovered lately “Medicinal Clay” in German “Heil Erde”

Here in Germany you can buy the Original LUVOS HEILERDE at Rossmann or DM for 5€ for 400 Gramm. If one has to describe Taste as “clean” this would describe it perfectly. The funny thing is that almost all these discoveries were made in the 19th century by German Chemists and even more surprising is to me that they are available here everywhere for little money, just that not many know about it.

asava and arishta not only contributing to the flavour of the medicine but having their own pharmacological action too. The fermentation initiator provides inoculum for the fermentation to start. The medium of sugars is required for fermentation. In Asokarishta, the main herb is asoka (Saraca asoca De Wilde) [11]. Other components which contribute for flavours are Cuminum
cyminum L., Santalum album L. and Zingiber officinale Roscoe. Woodfordia fruticosa(L.) Kurz as fermentation initiator and jaggery as a source of sugar are also present. Similarly in Kanakasava, Kanaka (Datura metel L.) is the main herb while Piper longum L. and Zingiber officinale Roscoe contribute for flavor [12]. Woodfordia fruticosa are mostly used in asava and aishta. Although all parts of this plant possess valuable medicinal sugars is required for fermentation. Some excellent health advise there!

Barbara O’Neil’s website is very good! She is very God conscious (in the Christian tradition) and has a very large following. Big Pharma are trying to silence her but she has helped so many people (evident in the thousands of positive ‘comments’ after her vids).

Another lady that has very informative vids is Sabrina Wallace. She is an expert in the techno realm of 5G, Vax666ines, and their association with declining health and premature death! The ‘details’ of her vids are quite technical and hard to grasp at first but one always comes away with a general picture of what is going on! She is a really smart lady, and her vids are brilliant!

Water is the basis for good health, so apart from my liking for dandelion tea and also rooibos, I only drink distilled water now, (which I make with a distiller I bought recently for just over $100 on ebay!) the residue that is left is a disgusting, smelly brown mess (derived from tap water), so I am glad I bought it as it is getting harder to trust commercial sources (and they put fluride in tap water here).

All in Natures Pharmacy is antibacterial and antifungal.

Fruits and vegetables are medicine and nourishment in themselves.

Every time you give in the Latin name of some plant/seed + pubmed you get endless studies which confirm the amazing benefits of “Natures Pharmacy”. This confirms the statements of the Srimad Bhagavatam that some great Yogis live only on dried leaves for prolonged periods of time when performing tapasya. We make a tea of it, they eat the dry leaves. Same thing.

Srila Prabhupada is the Symbol of Everything Auspicious and being kind and merciful also outlines how to maintain a healthy body. Milk, Joghurt, Nuts, all the Spices of Vedic Cooking, Vegetables, different kind of Dahl combined with a little Rice or breads like Chapati, in the right proportion, all make for a healthy and balanced diet. SIMPLE foods, CHEAP to buy and EASY to prepare.

Over time it always shows that Krsna Consciousness is equally beneficial for the body and the mind and people who have derided one for being a strict vegetarian and following the principles will eventually have to wake up from living in ‘La-La Land’.

This was advised to us from a friend whom we visited last Xmas in Switzerland. While biking for hours in the cold, not breezing through the nose but the mouth, I picked up again, like every winter, a really bad cough, due to the irritation of the lungs from the cold air as I am habituated to chanting to myself when cycling (one hour makes 4 rounds, I counted) for hours every day, so I tend to forget the temperature, same thing every year 🙁

So 2 days ago same thing again, the cough is always dry and tends to get really bad with no relief in sight. As I had bought a few bottles of this stuff I tried it last night and WOW!!!!!!! Within an hour the cough was reduced to a trickle. Being quite tall, I have been taking 2 tablespoons every 6 hours. The thing with these natural medicines is that much helps much. You can get that stuff here at the Chinese grocer or Asian shops for 10€ a bottle of 300ml, or online.

I remember when, years ago, picking up paintings in HK there was a guy named Hoi working in Rams office and as a second job he worked downstairs outside of the building at some Chinese Pharmacy, it always smelled funny with many bottles with weird ? stuff swimming inside.

So this is a must have in the house for the young and old 😉
