PADA: Harinama samkirtana movement?

Dear Sachi prabhu, No, I am not saying this, millions and perhaps billions of people are saying this, what happened to all the happy Hare Krishna street singing? I am merely pointing out the history of things.

Whether or not I feel happy, really does not change the fact that the movement needs to be reformed back to its “samkirtana movement” roots, of which you might be interested to know Aindra prabhu was saying many of the things I am saying, he said the samkirtana was no longer being emphasized.

He wrote a book about some of these things, and was told if he published his book, he would be banished from ISKCON, this is the mood now, he was and still is being surpressed now, giving many of the same arguments I am.

Srila Prabhupada taught us to do harinama samkirtana, that this is Lord Chaitanya’s mission, it was suddenly not being done, and is still not being done hardly at all now, not only in the recent past.

I am talking about Srila Prabhupada, he is the person who was cited in Syracuse Court Case in 1980, the court had a stack of his books with bookmarks on the places which describe samkirtana, and they cited HIS books and HIS quotes about samkirtana, thus ISKCON GBC lost because they had no idea what HIS books say about samkirtana.

ISKCON lost the case because they were fighting against Srila Prabhupada in court, and they still are. ys pd

Hari Nam sankirtan will return as it was in the so called “old days” It can be very easily started in any North American city, town or village by Srila Prabhupadas senior disciples. Those who can afford the time and the expense to go out everyday as they did in their youth will do the restart. Many are approaching retirement or already in it.

I have heard of plans already in the works amongst some senior devotees. They simply meet at a given location with packed lunches, dressed in full dhoti, kirtah and sari with drums and karatals. They go on a specific route for an hour and then take a prasadam break. After that they do another hour and then go home. Doing this everyday for just two hours brings back the Hari Nam sankirtan. Great excersize too. Hari Nam cards and contact numbers are given out.

Cheap and inexpensive. As well there is the full media that can be contacted by the “seniors” on a regular basis. Senior Prabhupada disiples gained a great deal of experience with the media when Srila Prabhupada was present. Characters and group relationships can be built regularly with media outlets. As well when preaching the truth from Srila Prabhupadas ( original ) books by those who were there and who are real elders will attract the youth of any town city or village very easily with their basic good nature and vast experience.

Whether or not this Hari Nam will lead to the opening of multiple temples as Srila Prabhupada wished is any bodies guess. Krsna can do anything and remember….that’s how it all started.
