September 12 | 2010 | PADA — OK, but I fail to see where Srila Prabhupada says that guru is relative truth, relative truth is mundane truth, whereas Krishna says acaryam mam vijaniyan, navamanyeta karhicit, the guru is equal to My very self (the absolute truth).
Krishna is relative truth? We also sing every day, “Saksat hari tvena samasta sastraih”, the guru is qualitatively identical to Krishna, so if Krishna and His direct representative (saksat) is relative truth, that means He is no longer absolute truth?
Srila Prabhupada says in many places that among the ten offenses, anyone who thinks guru is ordinary (relative) truth is committing offense to the holy nama, nama aparadha.
Apart from that, Srila Prabhupada said it is an offense to offer bhogha to even the demigods, but in ISKCON we are offering bhogha to people who watch football every Sunday, read Salvador Dali’s writings, and listen all day to Dizzie Gillespie. If we cannot offer bhogha to the demigods, how can we offer to these relativised persons? ys pd
