Nov 03, 2010 — UK (SUN) —
Dear Prabhus,
the following questionnaire landed on my desk this morning.
(Not from Sitarama das, I might add).
I have trouble taking it seriously but decided to fill it out anyway.
I hope you all have as much fun as I did.
As a footnote,
I wondered if Sitarama das ever thought of consulting the books and letters of HDG A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acarya of ISKCON and Bhaktivedanta Manor?
After all…
should His opinions and instructions regarding the direction of Bhaktivedanta Manor not count more than the opinion of neophytes?
A review is being carried out of Bhaktivedanta Manor, revisiting its priorities and responsibilities. We would like to invite you to give your views and opinions by answering the following questions. Sita Rama das
(This consultation is being conducted with 120 participants from a wide spectrum of devotees ranging from direct disciples of Srila Prabhupada, elder devotees in the community, namahatta/sanga group leaders, patrons, gurukuli and pandava sena youth, residents and other well-wishers of Bhaktivedanta Manor)
Saturday 30th of November 2011, I visited the Manor.
I was left to ponder, how does a rat’s body get flattened into the tar roadway between the car parks? The roadway is less than 100 meters long and cars generally only travel at max 5 miles per hour. So even if it was an old age pensioner rat that failed to cross the road in time because of the slowness of age. It is still an unlikely explanation. As the cats which prowl the Manor grounds would normaly have killed any such slow rat sooner than the car.
So the only reasonable conclusion I can come to is that the poor rat ate some poison and in a delerious condition fell under the car’s wheels. I am sure no sane rat would want to terminate it’s existence any more than any sane human would.
Yet I was reading on the GBC funded web-site today the following ….
http://www.dandavats.com/?p=8991
“New Gokul, a farm on which no animal will be killed or harmed, stands as an iconic venture which protects both the animals and the environment.”
