Introduction

Posted on March 30, 2011 — A disciple who makes the mission of the bonafide spiritual master one’s life and soul becomes dear to Krishna and is to be considered as a ‘true’ disciple. A true disciple is not distracted by anything. He does not consider his advancement separately. He only considers as to how make the order of the spiritual master his life and soul.

For the true disciple, the presence of Spiritual master becomes increasingly manifest in his heart and his love for Him increases daily. The relationship expands beyond the limits of time, imagination and space; its transcendental depth increases every moment unlimitedly. He becomes increasingly aware of your causeless mercy and becomes increasingly indebted to You.

The Spiritual master is his most glorious and worthy object of worship. It is He who has given to follower the most precious commodity – Krishna, Krishna prema and the process of devotional service.

A true disciple

A true disciple who is engaged in the unmotivated uninterrupted service of Guru-Gaura-Krishna is eligible to swim in the ocean of the mellows of devotional service. It is explained in the Svetasvatara Upanishad (6.23):

yasya deve para bhaktir
yatha deve tatha gurau
tasyaite kathita hy arthau
prakasante mahatmanau

“Only unto those great souls who have implicit faith in both the Lord and the Spiritual master are all the imports of Vedic knowledge automatically revealed.”

Madhupandita Dasa, the principal brain behind the current operations at ISKCON Bangalore is on these terms to be considered a ‘true disciple’ of Srila Prabhupada who at the cost of his limb, life & honour took on the faulty eye-wash self-appointed system of Guruship in ISKCON that prevails worldwide.

This is to execute the will of Srila Prabhupada, who, not having appointed any successor acharya wanted the organization to run under the aegis of GBC who would co-operate & guide the temple presidents to run the show. He wanted each temple to operate independent and as a separate entity by raising their own resources for the same.

At the current moment he & ISKCON Bangalore (Hare Krishna Hill) devotees are the only followers of Srila Prabhupada who have maintained the correct-stance that Prabhupada lives on through his teachings & His transcendental presence is the guiding force behind their success in contrast to the ‘Guru-avajna-aparadha committing’ centers worldwide most of which have sadly been either struggling to meet ends or has already met its inevitable end. This is a open lesson for all blind followers of the Prabhupada-betraying gurus & the so-called gurus themselves.

While the self-appointed achayas continue to fall down in disgrace & as a terrible elephant falls it is but sadly inevitable that the people close to them will meet their spiritual death crushed under the not-so-blind-faith they placed in the faulty system & did not care to question the displacement of Srila Prabhupada from His rightful place as the sole-acharya of ISKCON. The writing is on the wall for the rest of them.

A true leader

Madhupandita Dasa has never claimed to be ‘Guru’ of the ISKCON Bangalore unit. He is braving all the false allegations & malicious propaganda launched against him & the other devotees in the temple in their struggle to establish the obvious truth to the world.

It is being dealt with in the true spirit of a Vaishnava who although has an attitude of being lower than a blade of grass will become a thunderbolt in defending the honour & word of his beloved Spiritual master. Their stance is very clear – Prabhupada is the sole diksha guru of ISKCON and everybody else operates around this fact as menial servants in His mission.

And of course the leader is as good as the team. Madhupandita Dasa is also blessed to be ably supported by devotees who have similar feelings towards Srila Prabhupada who in turn have also been wrongfully-targeted by sinister ways from the self-appointed guru camps.

Conclusion

My kudos to Chanchalapathi Dasa, Chitranga Chaitanya Dasa, Amitasana Dasa & others who have kept their Vaishnava character in tact & who continue their struggle for truth along with their spiritual sadhana. The pure quality of devotees of ISKCON Bangalore is the case in making my points heard.

I have never seen more compassionate & always-eager-to-help-without-expectations attitude to people who seek their guidance.
Blessed is the pure disciple of Srila Prabhupada – Madhupandita Dasa & ISKCON Bangalore devotees. I can safely conclude that there are many levels of devotees of Krishna, but to be called a true disciple of His Divine Grace—manifesting perfectly all His instructions, being deceptively simple as they are—is no cheap thing or a small achievement .
