Roupa Manjari devi: Letter to PADA

2 April 2011 – Dear Puranjana Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!

A little more than 2 months ago, you and my husband, Naara Narayan dasa, had a series of heartfelt conversations over the phone. During …those conversations, you both admitted to having said things about one another that were unkind. At the end of one of the conversations, you broke down in tears and said, “I love you, Naara Narayan.”

In another conversation, the two of you vowed a sacred vow that neither of you would say anything unkind or unhurtful to or about one another ever again. My husband proposed that you and he join forces in bringing about Srila Prabhupada’s Dream of the real management system for ISKCON, as per the DOM.

You both agreed at that time to discuss as to how that could be done. Since that time my husband has impeccably kept his word and has not written one word of aspersion against you. So it is with some surprise that we read on your blog statements completely devoid of fact, and in fact completely made up, which appear, perhaps in a mild way, to denigrate my husband.

As you and everyone else who is awake or even half awake know by now, it is my husband, working with Nimai Pandit das, who introduced the Direction of Management into Bangalore. No one had discussed the DOM to Madhu Pandit prior to Nimai Pandit and my husband’s conversations with Bangalore. As you well know, you and your associates have absolutely nothing to do with the Direction of Management being installed in Bangalore.

If anyone doubts this, all they need to do is contact Nimai Pandit, who will clearly and gladly affirm that point. So, suggesting that my husband, who is essentially the “George Washington” of Bangalore’s acceptance of the DOM, is somehow conspiring against the Direction of Management, and trying to prevent Bangalore from using the Direction of Management, is truly preposterous – in fact, laughable – particularly, as you are keenly aware that Naara Narayan and Nimai Pandit who brought the Direction of Management – not you, not your friends, not Corey Cananza, not Abhaya Caranaravinda (who seems to speak for you, and is perhaps your facebook account under a different name).

These individuals, who cause so much harm and disturbance in the Vaishnava community of devotees, seem to delight in quoting you – verbatim – in every posting they broadcast on facebook. One can hardly imagine that you are not recruiting and training them to quote you word for word in their postings to facebook. If “Abhaya Charanaravinda” is actually you, posting under a disguised name, then him awarding you the “Beautiful Spirit” award, when it is actually you awarding it to yourself, is a rather astonishing act of self praise.

Since one of the most visible acts of the so-called, “Abhaya Charanaravinda” is to link a number of your 1008krishna.blogspot blog postings to his facebook page, the notion that you and he are actually one and the same person would be very difficult to deny.

You tend to mention Sanat and Mukunda. An avid online reader such as yourself is without question well aware that my husband has not corresponded with either Sanat or Mukunda in over ten years. So pretending that the past is present is not a good vehicle to promote the truth.

Regarding the Youtube telephone interview between my husband and a devotee named Muktipada is concerned, you and my husband went over point that was discussed in that interview, and you agreed that there were no in accuracies in that interview at all. My husband, in that interview was actually reporting what you yourself publicize all over your blogs, emails, etc.

At the end my husband was somewhat bewildered as to why you had broadcast it all over the place, and you are at a loss to explain why you said it was “defamation”, considering each point was something you had published many times before. In the end, it was more or less concluded that you like to say those things yourself, but you don’t like it when others say the exact same thing, quoting you.

My husband said, “I am fully prepared to apologize to you for having made any statement with which you do not agree, and which you have not yourself repeated many many times over.” At the time, you did not ask for a single retraction or apology, so it seems a little unnerving that you should revisit issue as though there had never been a conversation at all.

I am sure that in future postings, you will be very careful to be Brahminically truthful always, and not to say anything that would tip a clear-minded, honest Vaishnava from understanding the actual truth. Both my husband and I continue our vow of friendship to you, and our pact of not criticizing or attacking one another in public. Of course, if you choose to not keep your end of that promise to Krishna, you may rest assured that we will not resort to name-calling in exchange.

Your eternal servant,
Roupa Manjari devi dasi

  1. Dear Roupa Manjari, Thanks for your post. Yes I agreed to a truce, but then you and NNV started writing in public that our Hare Krishna society is using an alias on Facebook, and you posted that in public. Of course we could not be this Abhay Charan prabhu person, because she posts all day long when we are — at work! Now you are still saying I am this person, but you have not ever documented how I could be this person? Moreover, I work full time outside, where there are no computers, how could I be posting all day from outside? The problem is, you write that this is me or YND, and then we have to respond. You called off the truce and attacked. I also never said I agreed with any of the content of the Muktipada / Sanat / Mukunda video sites, now you say, I agreed their video was true? In other words, you are not doing your homework, nor are you consulting with me or Yasodananda, while writing all kinds of things in public about us. So we are not attacking, we are defending from your public statements against us. Again, I cannot be the Abhay person and neither could YND, because both of us work and we are not able to post all day like this Abhay is, hence — you never think these things through, nor do you consult because I would have told you about this defect in your theory. Thanks ys pd

I have written a little explanation of this here:
