Getting Out the Material Mire | Matchless Gift

Krishna Consciousness, the Matchless Gift (Chapter two) by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada — Our subject matter is most sublime: the glorification of the holy name of God. This subject was discussed by Maharaja Pariksit and Sukadeva Gosvami, who noted that a brahmana, who was very fallen and addicted to all kinds of sinful activities, was saved simply by chanting the holy names of Krishna. This is found in the Sixth Canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam, an epic work by Vyasadeva describing the pastimes of Lord Krishna and elaborating on the philosophy of Krishna consciousness.

In the Fifth Canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam, the universal planetary systems are very fully explained. Within the universe there are lower, middle and higher planetary systems. Actually, not only the Bhagavatam but all religious scriptures contain descriptions of hellish or lower planetary systems and heavenly or higher systems.

Srimad-Bhagavatam gives evidence of where these planets are and indicates how far they are from this planet, just as astronomers have calculated how far the moon and other heavenly bodies are from earth. Similarly, the Bhagavatam contains descriptions of the various planets.

Even on this planet we experience different climatic conditions. In temperate countries such as the United States, the climate is different from that of a tropical country like India. just as there are environmental differences on this planet, there are other planets which have far different atmospheres and environments. After hearing a description of such planets from Sukadeva Gosvami, Pariksit Maharaja said:

adhuneha maha-bhaga
yathaiva narakan narah
nanogra-yatanan neyat
tan me vyakhyatum arhasi

“Sir, I have heard from you about the hellish planets. Men who are very sinful are sent to those planets.” (Bhag. 6.1.6)

Pariksit Maharaja was a Vaishnava (devotee), and a Vaishnava always feels compassion for others’ distress. For instance, when Lord Jesus Christ appeared, he was greatly aggrieved by the miserable conditions of the people. Regardless of the country or sect to which they belong, all Vaishnavas or devotees—any people who are God conscious or Krishna conscious—are thus compassionate. Therefore to blaspheme a Vaishnava, a preacher of God’s glories, is a great offense.

Krishna never tolerates offenses committed at the lotus feet of a pure Vaishnava. A Vaishnava, however, is always ready to forgive such offenses. Krpambudhi: A Vaishnava is an ocean of mercy. Vanca-kalpa-taru: Everyone has desires, but a Vaishnava can fulfill all desires. Kalpa-taru refers to a tree in the spiritual world which is called a wish-fulfilling tree. In this material world a particular type of fruit can only be gotten from a particular type of tree, but in Krishnaloka, as well as in all the other planets in the spiritual sky, all the trees are spiritual and will yield whatever one desires. That is described in the Brahma-samhita (cintamani prakara-sadmasu kalpa-vrksa [Bs. 5.29]). A pure Vaishnava is compared to such a wish-fulfilling tree, for he can bestow a matchless gift upon a sincere disciple—Krishna consciousness.

we just keeping going by doing good smile to the bad sort that we are fallen, to realize it first then we can start to have a spiritual idea about the plain of SRI KRSNA to take us out of the material mire by thinking how SRI KRSNA like not how i like, actually the BG.6.27 said only when we become conscious of our real spiritual identities beyond the influence of passion we can see that our identities are the same quality of SRI KRSNA by getting rid of all the reactions of our past and present sinful activities with the daily sadhana bhakti of HDG ACBSP this is the special mercy that we get by chanting everyday ceto darpana marjanam all of us are in the stage of purification at the moment because the planet where we are is a planet to renew the karma of all the middle planets. The hellish planets are for people who forgot that the goal of our lives is to return home na te viduh svartha gatim hi visnum bhag.7.5.31 and the heavenly planets are for first class civilized citizens but by keeping on chanting the daily HARE KRSNA MAHA MANTRA with spiritual greediness we can stop this abrahma bhuvanal lokah BG.8.16 up down from all the 14 planetary systems of this ekamsena stitho jagat bg.10.42.

Because GAURANGA MAHAPRABHU can bring that sincere chanter immediately to the platform of VASUDEVAH sarvam iti sa mahatma sudurlabhah bg.7.19 SRILA PRABHUPADA used to say the same is taking a lava matra a fraction of a second to get all the perfections lava matra sadhu sange sarva siddhi haya c.c. madhya lila 22.54. Ajamila is the proof as SRILA PRABHUPADA mentions here from the sixth canto of SRIMAD BHAGAVATAM, ajamila lost all his brahminical good qualities but nehabhikrama naso sti bg.2.40 nothing is lost by keeping chanting especially in the time of death as happened to Ajamila and although he was chanting NARAYANA by calling his son he got all the perfections why? Because the name of SRI KRSNA is absolute and when we become fully conscious of that we come to the platform of VASUDEVAH by getting out of the material mire ys seva das haribol
