A Question of Leadership

So… why is it thousands of souls choose to follow HDG AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada?
Did he offer us name and fame… profit… distinction… adoration?
What was our starting salary?
What inspired us to be a part of Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON?
Why did we trust Srila Prabhupada?
And similarly…

why is it that thousands of souls have since voted with their feet and wallets and consciously decided to now go elsewhere?
Has it ever crossed our ISKCON leadership’s mind… perhaps even as a fleeting thought…
considering that they are the “ultimate governing body”…
that they may have contributed to this?
Perhaps, in our “ultimate governing body’s” collective consciousness, those who decide to go elsewhere are “simply in maya”.
Please allow me to share with you a document that landed in my in-tray several months ago.
It is entitled ISKCON Ireland Overview.
As you can see, the subject matter principally revolves around the frustration of the local devotee community and their (and my own) beloved ISKCON’s “ultimate managerial authority”.
This ISKCON “ultimate managerial authority” can also be found promoting the ‘no problems here ISKCON’ on Dandavats.com.
Sadly, in the past… I have also been obliged to have dealings with “prabhu”.
I have written about my dealings with him on the Sun.
Do you think I trust such an “ultimate managerial authority”?
And yet… this “prabhu” was even chosen to be the Chairman of the “ultimate managerial authority”.
Once again… as the old saying still goes…
“if such are the priests…”
