July 27 2011, Christchurch, New Zealand — Srila Prabhupada has ordained and implemented a system for initiation in his mission using deputed priest of the acarya, who offer formal initiation on behalf of Srila Prabhupada.

This system has been in place and functioning the Krishna consciousness movement since 1970, or slightly prior. Srila Prabhupada never suggested it should be discontinued for any reason.

To the contrary, via numerous spoken and written directives, Srila Prabhupada has clearly delineated his intentions to continue initiating disciples in the Krishna consciousness movement by this system perpetually. Srila Prabhupada’s sincere followers accept his system without speculation, following the infallible authority of Guru, Sadhu and Sastra.

Srila Prabhupada never practiced a system of nominating or approving successor acaryas or diksa-gurus. Nor did Srila Prabhupada authorize any person, group, or organization to nominate or approve successor acaryas or diksa gurus.

Nor did Srila Prabhupada indicate that one may appoint himself as diksa-guru or acarya simply by adopting the role or status. Such ideas are insidious concoction, unsubstantiated anywhere in Srila Prabhupada’s teachings or directives for sadhana. To speak of the short comings and aparadhas of GBC/ISKCON members that have deviated from the instructions of His Divine Grace is not an offense.

It is truth and we must reveal what has gone wrong in order to establish Prabhupadas final instructions for the future of his movement. By educating oneself on all these matters with an open mind one will see without reasonable doubt, the reason for all this nonsense all comes down to the eleven representatives that were to busy wanting to occupy the seat of guru and usurp Prabhupada’s ISKCON.

As an earlier comment stated, united we stand, but we are divided and many are falling. Tamal Krishna, Jayadvaita Svami, Ravindra Svami, Trivikrama Svami have openly stated there deviations, but even then many turn a blind eye. Maya does her service well. Jai Om Vishnupada.

Vidura dasa: Very nicely said Pancali Dasi. And to add to your points, yes, qualification must be there. Authorization. A man may know the law very well, but in order to become a judge He must be appointed to such a position.

So ultimately this Authorization is part of the qualification to become judge. Similarly one must be authorized by His predecessor Spiritual Master in order to become Acarya. Not that “we are all Guru”. No. Yes, we are all guru, but try to understand what kind of guru.

Even a child can become guru. To become guru you simply instruct. You simply teach in the correct way, then you are guru. Srila Prabhupada says:

“This is Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Every one of you become guru and deliver the residents of your neighborhood. Ei desa. Wherever you are living, just deliver them. Become their guru. How to become guru? It is not difficult. Yare dekha tare kaha ‘krsna’-upadesa [Cc. Madhya 7.128]. What Krishna has said instruct them. You simply repeat it, that’s all. You become guru.”

– Room Conversation — August 2, 1976, New Mayapur

“You simply repeat what Krishna has said in the Bhagavad-gita, you become guru.”

– Lectures : Bhagavad-gita 9.3 — Toronto, June 20, 1976

Thus even a parrot can become guru, but this type of guru is not the same type as the guru that will take devotees back to Godhead. This only Srila Prabhupada can do. Only the Guru like Srila Prabhupada can deliver the fallen souls, not a parrot.

“When one has attained the topmost position of maha-bhagavata, he is to be accepted as a guru and worshiped exactly like Hari, the Personality of Godhead. Only such a person is eligible to occupy the post of a guru.”

– Cc. Madhya-lila 24.330 : Purport

Here we have, on one hand, a type of person that can become guru simply by repeating what Krishna says, and on the other hand we have a type of Guru that must have attained the topmost position of maha-bhagavata who is to be worshipped exactly like Hari!

Only that kind of person can become Guru. So is it that a parrot should be worshiped exactly like Hari? No. This is non sense. We must have the brain to know what type’s of guru there are and not simply generalize everything. This is impersonalism.

“Try to understand. Don’t go very speedily. A guru can become guru when he’s ordered by his guru. That’s all. Otherwise nobody can become guru.”

– Bhagavad-gita 7.2 — Nairobi, October 28, 1975
