The purpose of World Sankirtana Party will be to establish a center in each and every city and village of the world. This idea is taking practical shape in various centers.
Just like you started for London Yatra and now after one year it has taken a shape, similarly in Germany also it has taken a shape, but in Paris it has not taken as yet. Therefore World Sankirtana Party means to establish a center everywhere we go.
I do not mean a concert party or musical party that may go to a city, have some performances and collect some money without any permanent effect.
For this purpose the World Sankirtana Party should consist of members who can impress spiritual ecstasy in the hearts of the people so that some of them may come forward and agree to establish a center where the Sankirtana party may go on continually.

We already have three or four definite locales to go, three or four in USA, and three in quite foreign lands. Devotees with residences there would be glad to have three or five devotees do a sankirtana party and try to establish the preaching and sankirtana party there, by and among locals who come forward, on an permanent and ongoing schedule. We, three members of the same family have just started to go out and distribute Shrila Prabhupada’s books on Saturday. This we do by accompanying the local Sankirtan party. We buy the books and with the donations we go and buy more books.
Sometimes we sell 5 books 10 or on big festival days like Rathayatra in London we sold about 50 of Srila Prabhupada’s books. We are not attached to the results if we only give out one book we consider that a success. If we give out more we are all enlivened.
I work during the week so only go out at the weekend. My son who is only ten years old has also given out some books as well. My wife who thirty years ago would go out, decided to do it for first time this year was at first very fearful and wondered if she could still go out, well she had no trouble and was surprised that in some ways it had become easier in the sense that people had become more open minded about different religions and that people were more receptive although the same problem of trying to stop them was still there. We are all enlivened by this process we feel like glowing embers who have returned to the blazing fire we are connected.
