The ISKCON was erected in 1997 upon the behest of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada who wished to fulfil several purposes with the opening of this complex. Most importantly the complex was formed to promote knowledge and awareness of spiritual life and to guide the values of society. This temple is the flagship of an altruistic quest by its founder A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to spread spiritual development and betterment of life throughout every community. As such, visitors will feel a sense of reverence and peace when visiting this very holy place and will provide one with not only a memorable physical journey, but an unforgettable spiritual one as well.

They are the main shrine of Radha-Krishna, Krishna Balrama, Nitai Gauranga (Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda),Srinivasa Govinda ( also known as Venkateswara), the shrine of Srila Prabhupada and Prahlada Narasimha.

As soon as one enters the complex, the most prominent features such as the Dwaja stambha; the largest pillar in India, and the gold plated kalash shikara greet one with shimmering brilliance. This royal furnishing sets the mood for the rest of ones journey. Then, visitors will pass through the temples of Prahlad Narsimha and Srinivasa Govinda, through the main hall and be greeted on all four sides by Lord Krishna’s past times such as lifting Govardhana hill, playing with his cowherd friends, and so on and so forth.
