ALL GLORIES TO HIS DIVINE GRACE A.C.BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI SRILA PRABHUPADA!–HARE KRSNA Prabhus,May I inquire as to why “Chanchapati dasa”is now being addressed as “Sri Chanchapati dasa”?Has his name been changed? Why is he addressed as “SRI”?I do not know him,and do not wish to make an offense, however why has one of SRILA PRABHUPADA’s servants been singled out for this outstanding honour? Why this one devotee–why not all devotees in good standing?Thank you and I will await your reply,Your servant,Devaki Nandana dasa. Jai RADHE!

  2. Aadishwara Balasubramanium says:

Dear Dr. Nandana, sorry for this great deal of annoyance and inconvenience causing you years of ahypnia! In South India Mr. = Sri. Either you say Mr. Madhu Pandit Dasa, or, Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa. For South Indian people it is the same. You might say this is aparadh, but what can be done? You might curse South Indians because of this – take any South Indian newspaper, you have, Sri Mujibar, Sri Kumar Patel, Sri Road-sweeper, etc. Might be that you send a complain to Indian PM Manmohan Singh and he passes a law of prohibiting Sri for conditioned people. In any case, lets hope and pray you will be sure to succeed!

  3. Devaki Nandana dasa says:

ALL GLORIES TO SRILA PRABHUPADA! Prabhu,if SRI is the new “His Grace” then fine—but all devotees in good standing should be addressed as SRI.Our Perfect Master,HIS DIVINE GRACE A.C.BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI SRILA PRABHUPADA never, ever addressed any of His servants as “SRI”–This is good enough for me.I will stick to addressing KRSNA as “SRI KRSNA”— and I will refer to Madhu Pandit dasa as His Grace Madhu Pandit dasa.If you demand to be addressed as “Sri”whatever I will never accept this.Your servant,Devaki Nandana dasa
