I have a set of Srimad Bhagavatam circa 1987. When I got them the devotee assured me there had been no changes from the original. Does anyone know for sure if the book changers had started on this year?
“Srila Prabhupada’s Srimad-Bhagavatam has remained relatively free from such changes for many years but now, with the release of the BBT Folio 2012 edition, we see the BBT have now produced a new and “updated” version of Srila Prabhupada’s Srimad-Bhagavatam complete with thousands of unauthorized changes and what the BBT consider are ‘improvements…’ Now they are even changing Prabhupada’s words in the Folio to what they think Prabhupada should have said…”

I can tell you from my personal experience with a german book distributor, that these people even lie to fellow Vaishnavas that they sell original books.
The big problem is that we have so many changed books now, that it is difficult to tell.
Reading through the whole SB and comparing with the original would probably be too difficult.
So you could also order a reprinted original version:
