Mahavidya Prabhu reporting from Bhaktivedanta Manor UK

Mahavidya dasa (ACBSP), Mar 27 2009, UK: I went to my Spiritual Master, AC Bhaktivedanta Swami’s temple today.
I went to chant my rounds in front of the Deities, as one is sometimes prone to do.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., a young man appeared with all the necessary paraphernalia to perform a wedding.
I asked him if the lucky couple were initiated devotees.
The reply was NO.
I said “I may have something to help you”, whereupon I tried to hand the young man my Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada’s instructions, as written in his letters.
“Oh, I’ve seen them”, the young man answered.
“Why do you insist on marrying non-initiates in front of Srila Prabhupada in His temple room?” I asked.
“Well the managers don’t have a problem with it”.
And so it went on.
Now… this conversation was being witnessed by Guru Carana Padma devi dasi (of Racism in ISKCON infamy and wife of Kripamoya das).
She was obviously upset that I had dared to mention this subject and, with a few dirty looks and muffled comments, stormed out of the temple room.
Within a few moments her husband and hero appeared on the scene.
Accompanying Kripamoya prabhu were Sruti Dharma das, the current Temple President and Shamasundera das, our weddings manager.
Kripamoya prabhu was obviously agitated.
Apart from shouting at me” to stop it!!!!”, Kripamoya prabhu had the option to explain to everyone, via my dictaphone, just why, when HIS Spiritual Master said DO NOT do, there they were, DOING it.
Kripamoya prabhu’s explanation to the now assorted crowd of wedding guests and devotees was that,
“He (Mahavidya das) was a troubled soul.”
Fortunately… all of this has been recorded for posterity’s sake on the temple room’s CCTV cameras and my own dictaphone.
Should anyone want a copy,
well…
you know where to find me.
One is obliged to ask…
Just who is the troubled soul ?

I am sorry to hear that you were mistreated at the Manor, for offering your informed opinion on the wedding taking place. I agree that another room or outside would be the right choice for such weddings. After the couple may go to visit the deities, chant and take prasadam.
Perhaps you could also post the instructions from Srila Prabhupada’s letters that you were trying to share with the wedding organiser(s).
    Hare Krsna.

the manor is corrupt, managers are control freaks that treat us like sh1t. head pujari uses the deities to market his wife’s so called business, shouldnt be allowed. they all pocket the money meant for the deities, all these so called fund raising for this and that….goes to their pockets, and yet funny how the manor claims its going through a financial crisi even with millions of pounds coming in every year…

a seperate wedding facility should be provided for all wedding events, not like there isnt enough money…just the management is way to tight, rather spend it on building an anex on their house or an exstension…why not. who is going to qustion them right.

something must be done, more and more devotees are leaving everyday and no1 is bothered asking why??

SOLTION: CHANGE THE MANOR MANAGEMENT, the whole bang lot are rotten!
