Express News Service, last Updated, 18 Apr 2009 11:35:03 AM IST, BANGALORE: City Civil Court Judge K S Balakrishna on Friday declared ISKCON Bangalore as the absolute owner of the temple on the Hare Krishna Hill in Rajajinagar. ISKCON Bangalore represented by its Secretary Stoka Krishna Das filed a case in the City Civil Courts seeking the court to restrain ISKCON Mumbai from interfering in the affairs of ISKCON Bangalore in 2001.
The difference cropped up over the issue of spiritual succession in ISKCON after Prabhupada.
According to ISKCON Bangalore, Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON, had given a written directive that he shall remain the Acharya of ISKCON organisation even after his death as none of his devotees were qualified to become Gurus. However, his western disciples declared themselves Acharyas and occupied the position of Guru, thereby governing the lives of thousands of devotees. ISKCON Bangalore, headed by its president Madhu Pandit Dasa opposed the existing succession system and said that they would abide by Prabhupad’s directive and consider only him as their Guru. Following which, ISKCON Mumbai tried to dislodge the office-bearers of ISKCON Bangalore, prompting them to file case.
After listening to the arguments and counter arguments of both the parties for nine years, City Civil Court Judge KS Balakrishna declared ISKCON Bangalore as the owner of the Sri Radha Krishna Temple.

Hare Krishna!!! At least now the other group realise that truth always triumphs. wherefrom the money poured to run the court case is brought. is it not the sankeertan money? Shrila Prabhupada said Iskcon money is my blood, donot spill it. why the other group prompting to fight the court case. it is really deplorable. the peace treaty forwarded by bangalore iskcon is worth and if the other group agrees and consent for this, the bickerings will end once for all. my humbly request to the other group to atleast now realise the situation and avert launching such nasty things, as the one done in Kolkata. Better concentrace on bhakta to gain blessings from Krishna Balarama, Gour Nitai, Shri Shriniwas Govind and Nrasimha Deva. Let there not be another venture to pounce against the verdict already problaimed and unnecessarily spend the hard collected money of the devotees who have contributed keeping unflinching faith in Prabhupada. Victory will be with those who follow krishna and spiritual master sincearly. Iskcon mumbai guru and other such bogus gurus should realise that they are not as qualified as Srila prabhupada. They have blessings of neither Krishna nor Srila prabhupada, otherwise they would not have lost the case. The result of this case reveals the truth that “A PURE DEVOTEE OF KRISHNA AND THE ONE WHO SINCEARLY FOLLOWS THE ORDERS OF HIS SPIRUTUAL MASTER ALWAYS WINS”. Haribol
