video: Govinda Adi Purusam – Atmarama Dasa
Srila Prabhupada, Mayapur, India, March 27, 1975: […] In many Vedic scriptures Krishna is described as the puranah purusah, the oldest person. Puranah purusam nava-yauvanam ca: “Although He is the oldest of all, still He is always a fresh youth.”
How it this possible? People are trying to understand God. Sometimes they paint a picture of God as a very old man. “Because He is the original person, by this time He must have become very old.” That is imagination. That old man is not actually the form of the Lord. The form of the Lord is described in the Brahma-samhita and other Vedic scriptures.

“I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, who is inaccessible to the Vedas, but obtainable by pure unalloyed devotion of the soul, who is without a second, who is not subject to decay, is without a beginning, whose form is endless, who is the beginning, and the eternal purusa; yet He is a person possessing the beauty of blooming youth.” [BS5.33]
