Test of religion is how much you are increasing your love of God

Religion means love of Godhead. Now, that love of Godhead you may learn under certain process. I may learn under certain process. Just like love between boys and girls may be different from India to America. In India there is still. No young man can mix freely with a young girl, but still, there is love. So process may be different, but we have to accept the basic principle. Basic principle is love of God. That is religion. Don’t bother about the ritualistic process. Just try to see how much you are increasing your love of God. Then you are religious. That’s all.

That is bhagavata-dharma. Srimad-Bhagavata says, sa vai pumsam paro dharmo yato bhaktir adhoksaje: [SB 1.2.6] “That is first-class religion.” What is that? “Where love of God is enthused.” That is first- class religion. And if you follow ritualistic processes and your love of Godhead is gone to hell—your love of materialistic life or love of this world is increasing, love of sense gratification is increasing— that is not religion. That is not religion. Test of religion is how much you are increasing your love of God.

So here it is said, “Whenever and wherever there is decline in religious practice…” What is that religion practice? That religion practice is whenever there is decline of love of God. That’s all. When people become lover of mammon, matter, that means decline of religion. And when people increase love of Godhead, that means real religion. So Krsna comes, or Krsna’s servant or representative comes, to adjust things. When people forget love of Godhead, somebody, either Krsna, God Himself or His representative comes to adjust things.

So this Krsna consciousness movement is incarnation. They are teaching love of Godhead. We are not teaching some ritualistic process, that “You become Hindu. You become Christian. You become Muhammadan.” We are simply teaching, “You try to love God. You have forgotten God. You have declared, ‘God is dead.’ These are all nonsense. God is there. You are here. You are suffering because you have forgotten God. You try to love God. Your normal life will come back. You will be happy.” This is Krsna consciousness movement.

There is nothing, artificiality. So there is no question of sectarianism, that “In this temple the Christians will come” or “The Muhammadans will not come.” Anyone. Because we are teaching what? Teaching love of Godhead. Either you become Christian or Muhammadan, Hindu, how you can deny God? Those who are denying God, their case is different. But one who is accepting God as the central figure in religion, how they can deny this movement? Because we are teaching love of Godhead. That’s all.

    Normally people do not love God because they don’t know HIM, used to say SRILA PRABHUPADA, but here is God why you do not accept HIM. SRI KRSNA sent HIS best “dog” (in the meaning of “humble and loyal servant”) to save all the vaisnava Thakur ami tomara kukkur but everyone wants God without HIS “dog” (in the meaning of “humble and loyal servant”) that’s the problem but if we want to love God then we need to love HIS “dog” (in the meaning of “humble and loyal servant”) also. We are existing because of God whatever we see is a energy of God therefore to love HIS energy is like to love HIM indirectly but by engaging HIS energy in HIS service is like to love HIM directly, because as we can see things are different materially when we get closer to the object of our love, I mean there are offences coming from dirty and smelly things because Krsna wants all the condizioned living entities to understand how to get pure love without mixing contaminate substances.

    We can use it to get prem puman artho Mahan but normally ordinary people get trapped by using it, the acharya is that special representative of God who can use everything in Krsna’s service without getting trapped that’s the best “dog” of god (in the meaning of “humble and loyal servant”) and real friend of the human society. The karmis say that the dog is the best friend of men but the dog they love is full up of lusty desire that’s why they considered the ordinary dog as the best friend of man which lust is not less then a dog. Especially in this age we can’t understand anymore who is the dog and who is the man because both of them are diving deeply in the unlimited waves of the lusty desire which is situated in the opposite side of love for God. Love of God is eternal, has been always there, we have created this lust by accepting a body machine to fulfil our dirty desire but it gets old and useless at the end of our troublesome journey in mrityu loka because everything is within the factor time here.

    That time is there to remind everyone how to love God without lusty desire, almost everyone is sakama bhakta it’s not easy to find a niskama bhakta like SRILA PRABHUPADA and people keep coming and going from this world of living entities without knowing the own spiritual identity because of this desire which makes people blind in the way back home, that’s why there are a lot of lusty animals also like the rabbits, the rats, the monkey, etc.. many human being are going to get this forms of life in their next lives because of this uncontrolled lusty desire which is driving everyone crazy that’s pure material life and visa to the hellish planets,even the so called gosvamis became victims of lusty desire including LORD BRAHMA the second creator of this material world LORD SIVA also became lusty with SRI MOHINI MURTI and LORD BRAHMA became lusty through HIS daughter, of course we are nobody compared to LORD BRAHMA,SIVA etc…but still we are trapped in lusty desire therefore when we become free by getting love for God it means we are not lusty anymore and that’s the perfection of our lives.

    Your perception of reading the comments appears to be some what offensive as I thought so also myself as well when I read his comments.

    But then again I thought that perhaps that was his mood to describe as such the way he expressed himself in his thoughts which might have not taken it well by the readers such as yourself and others including myself as pointed out by you.

    Giving you and I the benefit of doubts that after all he is trying to follow Srila Prabhupada and under no way in any circumstances he would mean otherwise as it might have been possibly perceived by the readers as you pointed out well.

    Therefore, my humble suggestion to abhaya carana seva das prabhu is to please be extra careful in demonstrating his feelings by choosing the appropriate most effective description in his future writings in order to avoid any misunderstanding who so ever may read his writing on this public forum.

    I have already read Abhay Carana Seva Das Prabhu’s more comments, He never would offence Srila Prabhupada. This story is similar to that when Srila Prabhupada said : kick on the head.
    This is why we have to read Srila Prabhupada’s book, because the transcendental knowledge is very important.

    The living entity’s position is herein likened to a dog’s. By chance a dog may have a very rich owner, and by chance he may become a street dog. As the dog of a rich man, he will live very opulently. Sometimes in Western countries we hear of a master leaving millions of dollars to a dog in his will. Of course, there are many dogs loitering in the street without food. Therefore, to liken the conditional existence of the living entity to that of a dog is very appropriate. An intelligent human being, however, can understand that if he has to live the life of a dog, he had best become Krsna’s dog. In the material world a dog is sometimes elevated and is sometimes on the street, but in the spiritual world, Krsna’s dog is perpetually, eternally happy. SRILA BHAKTIVINODA THAKURA HAS THEREFORE SUNG: VAISNAVA THAKURA TOMARA KUKURA BALIYA JANAHA MORE. IN THIS WAY BHAKTIVINODA THAKURA OFFERS TO BECOME A VAISNAVA’S DOG.     jaghanya-guna-vrtti-stha
    adho gacchanti tamasah

    “Those situated in the mode of goodness gradually go upward to the higher planets; those in the mode of passion live on the earthly planets; and those in the mode of ignorance go down to the hellish worlds.”

    SB 7.9.42 P Prahlada Pacifies Lord Nrsimhadeva with Prayers
    Here the words priya janan anusevatam nah indicate that the Supreme Lord, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is very favorable to devotees who act according to the instructions of His own pure devotee. In other words, one must become the servant of the servant of the servant of the Lord. If one wants to become the servant of the Lord directly, this is not as fruitful as engaging in the service of the Lord’s servant. This is the direction of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who shows us the way to become gopi-bhartuh pada-kamalayor dasa-dasanudasah. One should not be proud of becoming directly the servant of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Rather, one must seek a pure devotee, a servant of the Lord, and engage oneself in the service of such a servant. The more one becomes the servant of the servant, the more one becomes perfect in devotional service. This is also the injunction of Bhagavad-gita: evam parampara-praptam imam rajarsayo viduh. One can understand the science of the Supreme Personality of Godhead simply by the parampara system. In this regard, Srila Narottama dasa Thakura says, tandera carana sevi bhakta-sane vasa: “Let me serve the lotus feet of the devotees of the Lord, and let me live with devotees.” Janame janame haya, ei abhilasa. Following Narottama dasa Thakura, one should aspire to be a servant of the Lord’s servant, life after life. SRILA BHAKTIVINODA THAKURA ALSO SINGS, TUMI TA’ THAKURA, TOMARA KUKURA, BALIYA JANAHA MORE: “O MY LORD, O VAISNAVA, PLEASE CONSIDER ME YOUR DOG.” ONE MUST BECOME THE DOG OF A VAISNAVA, A PURE DEVOTEE, FOR A PURE DEVOTEE CAN DELIVER KRSNA WITHOUT DIFFICULTY. KRSNA SE TOMARA, KRSNA DITE PARA. KRSNA IS THE PROPERTY OF HIS PURE DEVOTEE, AND IF WE TAKE SHELTER OF A PURE DEVOTEE, HE CAN DELIVER KRSNA VERY EASILY. Prahlada wants to engage in the service of a devotee, and therefore he prays to Krsna, “My dear Lord, kindly give me the shelter of Your very dear devotee so that I may engage in his service and You may then be pleased.” Mad-bhakta-pujabhyadhika (Bhag. 11.19.21). The Lord says, “Engaging in the service of My devotee is better than trying to engage in My devotional service.”
    Another significant point in this verse is that by devotional service Prahlada Maharaja does not want to benefit alone. Rather, he prays to the Lord that all of us fallen souls in this material world may, by the grace of the Lord, engage in the service of His servant and thus be delivered. The grace of the Lord is not at all difficult for the Lord to bestow, and thus Prahlada Maharaja wants to save the whole world by spreading Krsna consciousness.

Vedesu durlabha adurlabha atma-bhaktau. If one is Krsna devotee, he can deliver Krsna: “Take Him. Here is Krsna.” That is the special prerogative of devotee. Kaunteya pratijanihi. Vaisnava… Krsna is advising Arjuna, because he’s devotee, that “You declare, na me bhaktah pranasyati.” So He could declare Himself. No. He wants to declare everything through His devotee. Nimitta-matram bhava savya-sacin. He want to see that Arjuna becomes victorious, although He was conducting, actually He was doing this victory also, war. So in this way, krsna-bhakti, nitya-siddha krsna-bhakti, if we simply invoke our krsna-bhakti, that is success of life. Some way or other. Therefore Rupa Gosvami says that yena tena prakarena manah krsne nivesayet. Somehow or other, just be absorbed within your mind about Krsna. Sa vai manah krsna-padaravindayor. Some way or other. It doesn’t matter which way. And another place Rupa Gosvami says, krsna-bhakti-rasa-bhavita matih kriyatam yadi kuto ‘pi labhyate. Purchase this krsna-bhakti-rasa-bhavita matih, Krsna consciousness, if it is available somewhere. Tatra laulyam eka mulyam, na janma kotibhih sukrtibhih labhyate.

    Prabhupada: So why don’t you answer them, “Yes, you become a dog, but you become a dog of a good master.” What is the use of becoming dog of another dog? Then what profit will be there? Is it not? We are… Actually every one of us is dog. And we are trying to satisfy so many masters. The masters are our senses. We are already dog, everyone, because everyone is servant of the senses, kama, krodha, lobha, moha, matsarya. So everyone is dog. Now he has to remain a dog, but by becoming dog of these senses, he is not happy. Find out a good master, and become a dog. You become happy. This is our philosophy. And the best master is Krsna. We are also trying to be dog, but not of another dog, but real master. That is our philosophy. What is the use of becoming a dog of another dog? That is not proper. Here the material world is that “I am dog, I have got a master, and the master has got another master. He has got another master, he has got another master.” Nobody can say that “I am Absolute.” Nobody can say. That is not possible. You must have a master. Therefore everyone is a dog. So why don’t you find out the Absolute master, the biggest master? And that is God. “God is great.” Capture Him, master. Then you will be happy. That is intelligence. When one comes to his senses, that “I have served so many masters. Neither the master has become happy, neither I have become happy.” That is frustration. Everyone. The master is not happy. You serve any master. Ask him, “Are you satisfied?” And, “What you have done, that I will be satisfied? You have to do so many things.” So he is not satisfied, and you are not satisfied. Then to become dog of this ordinary master will never give us satisfaction. Always frustration. Just become the dog of the supreme master. You will be happy. Supreme master is Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Mahaprabhu. Prabhu means master. That Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s name, Mahaprabhu, “the supreme master.”

    na mam duskrtino mudhah
    prapadyante naradhamah
    mayayapahrta-jnana
    asuram bhavam asritah

    Anyone who does not submit to Krsna, he is useless, duskrtinah, mudhah, naradhamah. So why we shall give respect to the naradhamas, duskrtinas, mudhas, mayayapahrta-jnana? We shall not give any. We shall respect only Krsna conscious person.

Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja. That is Vaisnava. Christ also said that “Kingdom of God is for the humble and meek.” Is it not? He never said it is for the lion and elephant. The material disease means we have challenged Krsna, God, “Oh, what is God? We can live independently.” And that is material scientist. They are trying to prove, “There is no God. We can create everything in the laboratory.” And that is their foolishness.

The time I was suffering, He intervened and saved my life wrote to me, accept every thing as a blessing of Lord Krsna and apply it in your life. And I accepted it and are trying to apply it in this miserabale body of an woman. And please don’t think wrong of me,I’m just a fallen soul and I’m crawling, like a baby to find a place in the dust of all the vaisnavas their Lotus Feet.
    Please forgive me for all the offences, I made at the dust of all Your Lotus Feet, taking the dust of Your Lotus Feet on my head, from a distance and again forgive me.

    Mahesh: Everyone of us is trying to advance to serve Srila Prabhupada our BONAFIDE Diksa Guru.Sometimes mistakes are made and— we learn. Does not mean you have to take a vow to leave. It is very good to see humble attitude from both yourself and Abhay Charan Seva Prabhu. We have to deal with GENUINE devotees who are ACCEPTING Srila Prabhupada as Diksa Guru in the way Srila Prabhupada wanted:
