First and foremost.  Tomorrow is the Disappearance Day of our beloved Acaryadev – His Divine Grace Srila Bhakativinode Thakur  (fasting til noon).

The following petition by the Thakur is drenched with his intensity to see the Holy Names spread out to all corners of this world.

“When will the day come ?

When in England, France, Russia, Prussia, and America all fortunate persons by taking up kholas and karatalas will take the name of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu again and again in their own countries, and raise the waves of Sankirtana,

When will that day come!

Oh! When will the day come when the white skinned British people will speak the glory of Sri Sacinandana on one side and on the other, and with this call spread their arms to embrace devotees from other countries in brotherhood,

When will that day come!

The day when they will say “Oh, Aryan Brothers! We have taken refuge at the feet of Caitanya Deva in an ocean of love, now kindly embrace us,

When will that day come”

ALL OF US have the opportunity to be a part of fulfilling this prayer. All we have to do is arrange to be at Soho Street every Saturday Night at 7.30pm.

Or of course, if we do not live in London – then wherever and whenever there is Harinam near where we stay.

That’s WHEN the day will come.

One thing I realise is how much I miss Parasurama prabhu when he is away. For the last two weeks he has been distributing prasadam and the holy names up in Sweden and Denmark.

Never mind – he will be back next week with his trusty amplified ukulele and our Samkirtan Party will be that much the better for it.

Last Night the Harinam was fine. But we could have done with some more instruments, there were hardly any karatalas. PLEASE prabhus, everyone must have a set of karatalas at home. If you bring them then the Harinam Party will be that much more potent.
