PADA, Mendocino, California: This article explains how ISKCON needs to follow the tradition of India. Good idea. Except the author is a member of the GBC’s “Shastric Advisory Committee,” which “advises” the GBC’s acharyas. That means, the author (Mukunda Datta das) assumes that he is greater than the acharyas, because he is the advisor to the acharyas.
This is not in our tradition, that the acharyas have “shastric advisors”? Nor has the author proven that he is superior to the acharyas and that he can thus be an advisor to them? Then again in ISKCON the acharyas are often fallen into illicit sex, so it seems the first “advice” would be to say, these folks are not acharyas, and the people who supported these foolish people as acharyas are — not in the tradition? Then again the shastra advisory program has never completed their GBC guru tattva paper which they said they would have completed some years ago? ys pd]

Mahesh: Just see! – these rascals they employ someone TO EDUCATE the conditioned soul “gurus” in sastra. This PROVES the bogus conditioned soul gurus manufactured by GBC have even NO KNOWLEDGE: THEY ARE IGNORANT! How can they can they IMPART KNOWLEDGE if they require to be EDUCATED by Sastric Advisory Committee! The Guru is JNANINAS TATTVA-DARSINAH and these rascals are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Ignorant they NEED a Sastric Advisory Commitee to EDUCATE them:

Bg 4.34 T Transcendental Knowledge
Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Inquire from him submissively and render service unto him. THE SELF-REALIZED SOUL CAN IMPART KNOWLEDGE UNTO YOU BECAUSE HE HAS SEEN THE TRUTH.
Hare Krishna,
I want to share this video show with my friend in face book , but there is no way to do that . Also I want to share the Article in this website call Vegetarian and veganism…..along with the picture of cow made out of vegetables . I have been trying to copy and share in my face book .
If you can help me to get through the problem I appreciate .
My wife, Urmila Devi Dasi, is also a SAC member, so she is also an “advisor to the acharyas!”
But even though she knows Srila Prabhupada’s books and tapes better than almost anyone else in ISKCON, and even though she is a better public speaker than almost anyone else in ISKCON, they won’t let her join their “acharya” club because her superior talent/knowledge would put them to shame!
Another reason that they are afraid to let her join their ranks is because they know that many of the beautiful, young female recruits would rather take initiation from a woman than from a lusty old man!
Pratyatosa das: Another reason that they are afraid to let her join their ranks is because they know that many of the beautiful, young female recruits would rather take initiation from a woman than from a lusty old man!
Mahesh: I hope you can convince and convey this to your wife that RITVIK System is BEST for conducting the FORMALITY of 1st and 2nd initiation ON BEHALF of Srila Prabhupada THE INITIATOR.
ALL these bogus GBC manufactured gurus best accept the Ritvik System they are NOT TATTVA-DARSINAH:
Bg 4.34 T Transcendental Knowledge
jnaninas TATTVA-DARSINAH
Below are just a few examples how a Maha Bhagavata (Spiritual Master) actually SEES Krsna EVERY MOMENT (TATTVA DARSINAH):
He was therefore tattva-darsi, a seer of the truth, **because he personally saw** how the Supreme Absolute Truth appeared as his son.
SB 10.3.14
“Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Inquire from him submissively and render service unto him. The self-realized soul can impart knowledge unto you because he has seen the truth.” Vasudeva begot the Supreme Personality of Godhead, yet he was in full knowledge of how the Supreme Lord appears and disappears. He was therefore tattva-darsi, a seer of the truth, **because he personally saw** how the Supreme Absolute Truth appeared as his son.”
when he **sees** the Lord personally, face to face,
SB 8.6.9
The Vedic mantras say: yasmin vijnate sarvam evam vijnatam bhavati. When the devotee **sees** the Supreme Personality of Godhead by his meditation, or when he **sees** the Lord personally, face to face, he becomes aware of everything within this universe. Indeed, nothing is unknown to him. Everything within this material world is fully manifested to a devotee who has** seen** the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Bhagavad-gita (4.34) therefore advises:
tad viddhi pranipatena
pariprasnena sevaya
upadeksyanti te jnanam
jnaninas tattva-darsinah
“Just try to learn the truth by approaching a spiritual master. Inquire from him submissively and render service unto him. The self-realized **soul** can impart knowledge unto you because **he** has seen the truth.”
Lord Brahma is one of these self-realized authorities (svayambhur naradah sambhuh kumarah kapilo manuh). One must therefore accept the disciplic succession from Lord Brahma, and then one can understand the Supreme Personality of Godhead **in fullness**. Here the word visva-murtau indicates that everything exists in the form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. One who is able to worship Him can see everything in Him and see Him in everything.
Pratyaksvagamam means direct perception—-Krsna is directly experienced:
Bg 9.2
raja-vidya raja-guhyam
pavitram idam uttamam
pratyaksavagamam dharmyam
su-sukham kartum avyayam
This knowledge is the king of education, the most secret of all secrets. It is the purest knowledge, and because it gives direct perception of the self by realization, it is the perfection of religion. It is everlasting, and it is joyfully performed.
The great devotees relished the taste of unceasing devotional service of the Lord, hearing, chanting, etc., and by developing the same taste, Narada wanted also to hear and chant the glories of the Lord. Thus by associating with the sages, he developed a great desire for devotional service. Therefore, he quotes from the Vedanta-sutra (prakasas ca karmany abhyasat): if one is engaged simply in the acts of devotional service, **everything is revealed to him automatically**, and he can understand. This is called **pratyaksa**, **directly perceived**.
“The word tattva-darsi refers to one who has** perfectly realized** the Supreme personality of Godhead.”
SB 5.15.4
The word anusasmara is very significant. God consciousness is not imaginary or concocted. The devotee who is pure and advanced realizes God as He is. Maharaja Pratiha did so, and due to his **direct realization of Lord Visnu**, he propagated self-realization and became a preacher. A real preacher cannot be bogus; he must first of all realize Lord Visnu as He is. As confirmed in Bhagavad-gita (4.34), upadeksyanti te jnanam jnaninas tattva-darsinah: “one who has seen the truth can impart knowledge.” The word tattva-darsi refers to one who has** perfectly realized** the Supreme personality of Godhead. Such a person can become a guru and propound Vaisnava philosophy all over the world.
Factually, the spiritually developed person is able to have the television of the kingdom of God always reflected within his heart.
SB 2.9.35 P Answers by Citing the Lord’ s Version
“Therefore, although He is present in every atom, the Supreme Personality of Godhead may not be visible to the dry speculators; still the mystery is unfolded before the eyes of the pure devotees because their eyes are anointed with love of Godhead. And this love of Godhead can be attained only by the practice of transcendental loving service of the Lord, and nothing else. The vision of the devotees is not ordinary; it is purified by the process of devotional service. In other words, as the universal elements are both within and without, similarly the Lord’s name, form, quality, pastimes, entourage, etc., as they are described in the revealed scriptures or as performed in the Vaikunthalokas, far, far beyond the material cosmic manifestation, are factually being televised in the heart of the devotee. The man with a poor fund of knowledge cannot understand, although by material science one can see things far away by means of television. Factually, the spiritually developed person is able to have the television of the kingdom of God always reflected within his heart. That is the mystery of knowledge of the Personality of Godhead.”
When one is on the platform of love of Godhead (prema pumartho mahan) he sees the Supreme Lord at every moment.
SB 6.16.51 P King Citraketu Meets the Supreme Lord
“The science of devotional service has been instructed by Narada and Angira to Citraketu. Now, because of Citraketu’s devotional service, he has seen the Supreme Personality of Godhead. By performing devotional service, one advances step by step, and when one is on the platform of love of Godhead (prema pumartho mahan) he sees the Supreme Lord at every moment. ”
“The devotee who has anointed his eyes with the ointment of love of Godhead always sees the beautiful blackish form of Krsna within his heart.”
DWT 7 Seeing God within
“The perfect yogi is one who has prema, pure love for Krsna. As the Brahma-samhita (5.38) states, premanjana-cchurita-bhakti-vilocanena santah sadaiva hrdayesu vilokayanti: “The devotee who has anointed his eyes with the ointment of love of Godhead always sees the beautiful blackish form of Krsna within his heart. ” We cannot imagine how beautiful Krsna is. It is said that Krsna’s body is more beautiful than millions of Cupids (kandarpa-koti-kamaniya-visesa-sobham [Bs. 5.30]). Cupid is very beautiful, but even if you place millions of Cupids together, their beauty cannot compare with Krsna’s. These things cannot be understood unless one’s eyes are smeared with the ointment of love of Godhead.
We cannot understand God with our present blunt material senses, which are simply after material gratification. With them how can we perceive Krsna, who is completely spiritual? It is not possible. Therefore we must purify the senses through the process of bhakti:
atah sri-krsna-namadi na bhaved grahyam indriyaih
sevonmukhe hi jihvadau svayam eva sphuraty adah
“No one can understand the transcendental nature of the name, form, qualities, and pastimes of Sri Krsna through his materially contaminated senses. Only when one becomes spiritually saturated by transcendental service to the Lord are the transcendental name, form, qualities, and pastimes of the Lord revealed to him” (Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu 1.2.234). ”
premanjana-cchurita-bhakti-vilocanena: only those who have smeared their eyes with the ointment of love of Godhead can see everywhere the Supreme Lord face to face;
SB 4.12.11 P Dhruva Maharaja Goes Back to Godhead
“Not only did Dhruva Maharaja perform many sacrifices, but he carried on his transcendental occupation of engagement in the devotional service of the Lord. The ordinary karmis, who want to enjoy the results of fruitive activities, are concerned only with sacrifices and ritualistic ceremonies as enjoined in the Vedic sastras. Although Dhruva Maharaja performed many sacrifices in order to be an exemplary king, he was constantly engaged in devotional service. The Lord always protects His surrendered devotee. A devotee can see that the Lord is situated in everyone’s heart, as stated in the Bhagavad-gita (isvarah sarva-bhutanam hrd-dese ‘rjuna tisthati). Ordinary persons cannot understand how the Supreme Lord is situated in everyone’s heart, but a devotee can actually see Him. Not only can the devotee see Him outwardly, but he can see, with spiritual vision, that everything is resting in the Supreme Personality of Godhead, as described in Bhagavad-gita (mat-sthani sarva-bhutani). That is the vision of a maha-bhagavata. He sees everything others see, but instead of seeing merely the trees, the mountains, the cities or the sky, he sees only his worshipable Supreme Personality of Godhead in everything because everything is resting in Him only. This is the vision of the maha-bhagavata. In summary, a maha-bhagavata, a highly elevated pure devotee, sees the Lord everywhere, as well as within the heart of everyone. This is possible for devotees who have developed elevated devotional service to the Lord. As stated in the Brahma-samhita (5.38), premanjana-cchurita-bhakti- vilocanena: only those who have smeared their eyes with the ointment of love of Godhead can see everywhere the Supreme Lord face to face; it is not possible by imagination or so-called meditation.”
Dear Maheshraj prabhu where does the verses you so passionately quote are saying that when such pure devotee or guru is not personally present in a visible way a serious candidate should avoid to qualify himself so Krishna may like to send a guru to him seeing such soul’s sincere endeavor by following strictly the rules of the current acarya or person Bhagavat via the (Srila Prabhupada’s ) book Bhagavat rather than imagine the whole risky and unprecedented forcefully conducted so called formality of diksha?
Y.s. Bj
Krishna has sent a guru, namely Srila Prabhupada, but the GBC says no, you have to worship our illicit sex gurus or leave, as they did with me. They kicked me out because I do not worship illicit sex. That means they have no idea what a guru is from square one. So Krishna sends a guru, and the GBC kicked him out and make us worship deviation instead. Thats the problem right there. And they say worship of illicit sex is “the rules and regulations.” It is? ys pd

Dear Bhakta Jarek prabhu
Hare Krsna!
Request: Please try and understand. As long as Srila Prabhupada is THE PROMINENT ACARYA ON THIS PLANET HE IS IRREPLACEABLE. Many many many GOONS in ISKCON may pose as Diksa guru they will ALL die and be FORGOTTEN IN HISTORY. Srila Prabhupada will LIVE ON from his books. AS LONG AS SRILA PRABHUPADA’S BOOKS ARE THERE ON THIS PLANET – HE IS THE ONLY CURRENT DIKSA GURU FOR ISKCON.

Regarding parampara system: THERE IS NOTHING TO WONDER FOR BIG GAPS. Just like we belong to the Brahma Sampradaya, so we accept it from Krishna to Brahma, Brahma to Narada, Narada to Vyasadeva, Vyasadeva to Madhva, and between Vyasadeva and Madhva there is a big gap. But it is sometimes said that Vyasadeva is still living, and Madhva was fortunate enough to meet him directly. In a similar way, we find in the Bhagavad-gita that the Gita was taught to the sungod, some millions of years ago, but Krishna has mentioned only three names in this parampara system–namely, Vivasvan, Manu, and Iksvaku; and so these gaps do not hamper from understanding the parampara system. WE HAVE TO PICK UP THE PROMINENT ACARYAS, AND FOLLOW FROM HIM. There are many branches also from the parampara system, and it is not possible to record all the branches and sub-branches in the disciplic succession. We have to pick up from the authority of the acharya in whatever sampradaya we belong to.
Points to note:
1) there CAN be GAPS of MILLIONS OF YEARS this is why it is said BIG GAPS for the PROMINENT ACARYA to come.
2) WE HAVE TO PICK UP THE PROMINENT ACARYAS, AND FOLLOW FROM HIM.
3) We have to pick up from the authority of the acharya in whatever sampradaya we belong to.
Next, you write:……” rather than imagine the whole risky and unprecedented forcefully conducted so called formality of diksha?”
Srimad Viraraghava Acarya, an acarya in the disciplic succession of the Ramanuja-sampradaya, has remarked in his commentary that candalas, or conditioned souls who are born in lower than sudra families, can also be initiated according to circumstances. The FORMALITIES may be slightly changed here and there to make them Vaisnavas.
Srimad Bhagavatam 4.8.54 Purport – Dhruva Maharaja Leaves Home for the Forest:
“Those who are not actually in the line of acaryas, or who personally have no knowledge of how to act in the role of acarya, unnecessarily criticize the activities of the ISKCON movement in countries outside of India. The fact is that such critics cannot do anything personally to spread Krsna consciousness. If someone does go and preach, taking all risks and allowing all considerations for time and place, it might be that there are changes in the manner of worship, but that is not at all faulty according to sastra. Srimad Viraraghava Acarya, an acarya in the disciplic succession of the Ramanuja-sampradaya, has remarked in his commentary that candalas, or conditioned souls who are born in lower than sudra families, can also be initiated according to circumstances. The formalities may be slightly changed here and there to make them Vaisnavas.”

Prabhupada: Yes. That is called tradition. That is called tradition. BUT THAT IS NOT PARAMPARA. PARAMPARA IS DIFFERENT. PARAMPARA MEANS WE GET THE RIGHT KNOWLEDGE FROM THE SUPREME. It is not something ac…, what is called? What he is speaking?
Syamasundara: Acquired. Archetypal. Means the original type.
Prabhupada: My acquired knowledge can be changed by understanding from superior. Just like generally we have got bodily concept of life, but Krsna says, “No. You are not this body.” SO THIS KNOWLEDGE IS NOT COMING TO ME FROM TRADITION, BUT I LEARN IT FROM GREAT AUTHORITIES LIKE KRSNA.

Srila Prabhupada had put in force the July 9th 1977 Rtvik Initiation which are FORMALITIES. So FORMALITES of Initiation of 1st and 2nd Initiation did NOT require Srila Prabhupada’s physical presence and the devotees were even INITIATED under his instruction by RITVIKS. This was UNPRECEDENTED . There was NO authority given by Srila Prabhupada to discontinue the Ritvik System. FACT!

Regarding the disciplic succession coming from Arjuna, disciplic succession does not always mean that one has to be initiated officially. Disciplic succession means to accept the disciplic conclusion. Arjuna was a disciple of Krishna and Brahma was also a disciple of Krishna. Thus there is no disagreement between the conclusions of Brahma and Arjuna. Vyasadeva is in the disciplic succession of Brahma. The teachings to Arjuna was recorded by Vyasadeva verbatim. So according to the axiomatic truth, things equal to one another are equal to each other. We are not exactly directly from Vyasadeva, but our Gurudeva is a representative of Vyasadeva. Because Vyasadeva and Arjuna are of equal status, being students of Krishna, therefore we are in the disciplic succession of Arjuna. Things equal to the same thing are equal to one another.

In my books the philosophy of Krishna Consciousness is explained fully so if there is anything which you do not understand, then you simply have to read again and again. By reading daily the knowledge will be revealed to you and by this process your spiritual life will develop.

The argument that Ritvik system has no tradition is LAME EXCUSE – In Kali Yuga it is Pancaratrika-vidhi. Other Yugas did NOT have Pancaratrika-vidhi.
721027ND.VRN Lecture
So we are trying to follow Sanatana Gosvami. By diksa-vidhanena, by imitating persons any, from anywhere. It does not matter. Because in this age, Kali-yuga, the diksa-vidhana is performed according, according to Pancaratrika-vidhi. Not Vaidika-vidhi. Vaidika-vidhi is very strict. Unless one is bona fide son of a dvija, the initiation was not given. To the sudras, there was no initiation. A brahmana ksatriya, vaisya. So these are the Vedic process. SO IN THE KALI-YUGA, BECAUSE IT IS TO BE UNDERSTOOD THAT EVERYONE IS A SUDRA, THEREFORE VAIDIKA-VIDHANA CANNOT BE APPLIED. VAIDIKA-VIDHANA REQUIRES THAT ONE MUST BE BORN BY A BRAHMANA, KSATRIYA. THEN HE’S ELIGIBLE FOR BEING INITIATED. BUT IN THE KALI-YUGA, THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE. THEREFORE THE PANCARATRIKI-VIDHI IS ACCEPTED.
680724IN.MON Lecture
sruti-smrti-puranadi-
pancaratriki vidhim vina
aikantiki harer bhaktir
utpatayaiva kalpate
This is the definition given by Srila Rupa Gosvami, that to become a devotee of the Lord, Krsna, one has to follow the principles of sruti and smrti, and pancaratriki-vidhi. Especially in this age, Kali-yuga, there is no Vedic vidhi. Because Vedic vidhi is lost. Formerly, initiation was offered to a person who is actually born of a brahmana father. Otherwise… Or the higher caste, the brahmanas, the ksatriyas, and the vaisyas, they were offered initiation, and the sudras were not offered. That was the Vedic system. But in this age the sastra says that kalau sudra sambhava. IN THIS AGE OF KALI PRACTICALLY THERE IS NO MORE ANY BRAHMANA, KSATRIYA, OR VAISYA. MAYBE BY NAME, BUT IN QUALIFICATION THEY ARE NOT EXISTING. EVERYONE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SUDRA. SO IN KALI-YUGA THE PANCARATRIKI-VIDHI IS ACCEPTED. The pancaratriki-vidhi is also Vedic vidhi, corollary, given by Narada Mahamuni. But it is accepted by the Vedic followers, pancaratriki-vidhi.
Pancaratriki-vidhi means if any one has a little inclination for spiritual development, he should be given chance. This initiation means to give chance. The Bhagavata says that kirata-hunandhra-pulinda-pulkasa abhira-sumbha yavanah khasadayah. These are the list of the candalas or less than the sudras. So Bhagavata gives open road for everyone. Even one is kirata… Kirata means… Generally they are called aborigines, or the very black aborigines living in the jungles, they are called kirata.
Traditions that Srila Prabhupada discarded :
68-03-26 Letter: Mukunda
I am very glad that you are repentant even for some action which is not sanctioned by me. This attitude is very nice and improves one in progressing on the path of devotional service. The Rakhi Bandhan ceremony observed by you under instruction of Prasad isn’t approved by our Vaisnava rituals. Of course, such ceremony is observed among the Hindu community as a socio-religious convention. But in our Vaisnava community there is no such observance. Now, forget the incidence, and in future don’t be misled by some unauthorized person.
Note also that during the Diwali there is tradition of fire crackers – we do not take part.
During Holi festival colour throwing tradition – we do not take part.
So traditions are not the real issue—at all.

“Become guru,” fine, I am not disagreeing. I am discussing the GBC, and their big position paper writers like Jayadvaita swami who says that their gurus are often– engaged in illicit sex with men, women and children. That means, they have no idea what a guru is. I am not blaming anyone, I am quoting them and their documents. They have also penned many other position papers over the years claiming that acharyas are falling into maya, starting in 1980 with — (Jayadvaita / Jaggadish / Satsvarupa co-penned) — “The Mahajanas Have Difficulties.” So yes, people who worship illicit sex have a lot of audacity, especially when they ban, beat and kill people who object. Srila Prabhupada says that anyone who insults the Mahajanas is destined for a terrible future, that was the first rattle out of their box, they attacked the Mahajanas. People who insult the Mahajanas are going to the lowest regions of the universe, that is what shastra says, its not what I say, its what shastra says. I am not part of the issue, I am quoting the GBC, and then quoting what shastra says about their statements. I am not speaking either portion of this issue, I am quoting these sources. ys pd

Anonymous: What kind of idiot sues his own guru’s movement when you should have sued all the individuals involved one at a time.
The way the legal system works in America is that you sue the organization that the perpetrators are members of. Then, if the organization loses the lawsuit, it is up to it to try to recover it’s loses by taking legal action against the perpetrators. Therefore, the ball is in the court of the GBC. But they’re probably too lazy and/or too busy engaging in sense gratification to worry about doing their actual duty to Srila Prabhupada!
