Trance means when your mind is so fixed up on Krsna or Visnu that not for a second your mind is deviated from the Krsna’s form. That is called trance. Not artificially. You can practice it. If you see Krsna daily in the temple, if you worship, you offer your obeisances—man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru [Bg. 18.65]—naturally you will think of Krsna twenty-four hours, and that will make you more pious, because without being pious, nobody can think of Krsna. Yesam anta-gatam papam. Pious means there is no reaction of sinful life. It is all squared up. That you can do at any moment. Krsna takes charge. Krsna says, buddhih sarva-papebhyo moksayisyami. He can do that. He can nullify the destiny. Karmnnirdahati kintu ca bhakti-bhajam. Everyone is bound up by the laws of karma. Yas tv indragopam athavendram aho sva-karma-bandhanurupa-phala-bhajanam atanoti [Bs. 5.54]. Everyone, beginning from that small microbe, indragopa, and up to the king of heaven—his name is also Indra. So from this Indra to that Indra, all different types of living entities, they are suffering, not enjoying; suffering the resultant action of their past sinful life. This is material existence. Everyone is suffering, but maya is so kind that she misleads the sufferer to understand the suffering is enjoying. This is maya. Actually everyone is suffering, but he is misled to think that he is enjoying.
So if we keep ourself always in contact with Krsna, then we become pious more and more, and as soon as our sinful reaction of life is counteracted by these pious activities, we begin to understand Krsna. Yesam tv anta-gatam papam. Without being sinless, nobody can understand Krsna. So this process should be continued. Kirtanya-tirtha-yasasam punya-sloka-yasaskaram dhyayed devam. Devam. Devam means the Supreme Lord. Samagrangam. So if He has no form, how you can think of His whole body, samagra? Samagra means the whole; angam means body. Samagrangam. So if He has no body, if He is formless, if He is nirakara, then where is the question of angam? He has angam, samagrangam, but He hasn’t got a form like us. That is the meaning. When in the sastra it is said that God has no form, it means that He has no material form. He has form; otherwise how can I think of His form? This Krsna’s form is not like us. Just like if you take my statue or any other statue and if you pray or if you offer food, that does not go actually to the person. But Krsna’s His anga, His form, is nondifferent from Krsna. Foolish people may say that “These men, they are offering food to a marble statue. Everyone knows.” No. It is not the fact. The fact is Krsna is omnipotent. He can accept your service, becoming a marble statue. Because I cannot see Krsna by my present eyes, therefore He has appeared before you just like a marble statue. But He is not marble statue. We must know that. If you think, “Here is marble statue, and if I commit some offense, who is going to see?” this is wrong conclusion. He is, Krsna, personally present here in a form which we can see. It is His mercy. It is called arca-vigraha. Krsna is everything. This marble is also Krsna’s energy. Bhumir apo’nalo vayuh. So He can accept your service from any of His energy. The marble is also His energy, the water is also His energy, the air is also His energy— everything. Without Krsna nothing can exist. So He is omniscient, all-powerful. He can accept your service through His energy. This is arca-vigraha. Samagrangam.

pamho agtACBSP, nice article thank you for posting it, is true the tadiyanam samarcanam of the lord can help us to get the attraction first for the trance meditation on the transcendental form of SRI ASAMA-URDHVAM SRI SYAMA-SUNDARAM, then the attachment will follow automatically, and at the end one get prem puman artho mahan through that divine trance Meditation, as happened several times to SRILA PRABHUPADA in india during the radha madhava song before the class HE fell in trance and woke up after a while with the sound vibration of the maha mantra hare krsna.
The vedic mantras are very powerful when they are chanted properly i mean they got the power to transport our consciousness through the factor time through the trance Meditation. i been trying to do that when i was just a teenager living in italy it was just for one week more or less and the benefit is still going on i mean SRI KRSNA always protected me from so many calamities by looking after a such rascal like me still. In this way i can dedicate more time to the sadhana bhakti program during the 24 hours of the day training the mind to not forget krsna by making the krsna smarana stronger because SRI KRSNA say very often in the SRIMAD BHAGAVAD GITA that whoever remembers ME at the time to leave his body get the spiritual planets.
All the training in our lives is to reach the exalted and costant position of krsna smarana ante narayana smrti to remember krsna at the time of death, advanced devotees always think at the time of departure connected to SRI KRSNA nama rupa guna and lila we need to connect everything with krsna body through our daily brahma muhurta sadhana bhakti because everything is connected with HIS transcendental body by using all the lava matra fraction of a second without forgetting krsna until there are not gaps anymore. Because as soon as one space out as soon maha maya try to come in but if we don’t leave any room for maya by thinking constantly to SRI KRSNA then maya got not chance to come in, used to say SRILA PRABHUPADA, all our energies must be trained by using the way that SRILA PRAHUPADA left for us to help us to become pukka brahma nistham faster.
It’s a question of intense practice desire and knowledge to be get by studying and meditating on the perfect teaching and life of SRILA PRABHUPADA because HE got there. We are trying our best to get there by not jumping but following as all the sincere prabhupadanugas are doing through deities worship guru puja chanting reading etc…and when we get completely clean by keeping going like that everything will manifested to us as it is. Our guru maharaj could see everything in sva murti original form because HE was fully pure and the SRIMAD BHAGAVATAM also say the same, only when we become pure we become eternally manifested by see things as it is and always manifested,the meditation on the personal form of SRI KRSNA is our treasure because everything is already situated there, now is our turn i mean we got the blessing of the best rasa rasika bhakta in raga bhakti to be situated there by practicing the trance meditation on the sublime form of the lord constantly. pamho agtACBSP, this is the real arca vigraha samagrangam,the vedic culture mentioned three levels stages of samadhis transcendental trance Meditation. The first one is the sahajiya samadhi, it’s compared to the spontaneous behavior connected to the truth. The second level is the nirvikalpa samadhi, it’s compare to that samadhi of the yogis who got the power to go to others planets but they have to go back down again because their trance meditation is not complete yet. And the last samadhi is the savikalpa samadhi which is that samadhi reached by all the paramahamsa asrama members, they do not come back to the material contamination anymore because they got the perfection of the trance meditation on the param brahman like our guru maharaj.
The yuga dharma of the maha mantra hare krsna leads the sincere sadhakas to savikalpa samadhi because by chanting hare krsna properly one get automatically spontaneous through the raga bhakti coming from the diksa vidhana by HDG ACBSP. The main point is to become serious in achieving the own result by following SRILA PRABHUPADA’s teachings correctly without jumping or changing whatever is said, that’s the secret to make genuine spiritual advancement.
