ISKCON leaders implicated in financial cover-up
One might ask why anyone in the renounced order, serving within ISKCON, should have any assets in their own name at all? Surely everything should be in the name of ISKCON, and properly accounted for? Yet it has taken these so-called Gurus nearly three decades of unregulated money grabbing for it to even dawn on them that something might be wrong. The main problem is their false initiator Guru status, since this blinds them and their blind followers to that which should be blindingly obvious: in ISKCON all assets belong to Srila Prabhupada, including money and disciples. Until this deviation is rectified it is hard to see things improving.

Recently we had to contribute $60,000 to the legal case in USA. When we discussed sending the money many devotees who work very hard to raise it, asked ‘what about Gurus, Sannyasis and leaders who have accumulated gifted money, will they be contributing anything?’ And they were serious because there is talk about individuals especially sannyasis and Gurus having amassed gifted money. It may or may not be the fact, but there is an air of distrust.
Is that distrust based upon the activities of our gentlemen leaders over the last thirty odd years? Or have some of the gentlemen (even a few) acted in ways which may have contributed to the breakdown? Perhaps it was just that the followers have failed to adjust things properly in their minds? Is no remedy the solution?

Above, Gauri Das discloses the fact that Bhaktivedanta Manor recently had to pay a vast sum of money to help bail out the child abuse court case currently under way in the US: “Recently we had to contribute $60,000 to the legal case in USA.” We wonder if Gauri Das has himself disclosed this fact to the many Patrons and congregational members of Bhaktivedanta Manor whose temple donations have been used in such a way? We also wonder if he has told them that ISKCON Gurus were amongst those accused of abusing children?
So we have a situation where a large number of people are falsely claiming Srila Prabhupada’s disciples for themselves, making loads of money in the process, and then refusing to give proper accounts for their illegal behaviour. Not only this, but even the unrevealing accounts that are filed will never be checked by anyone, ever!

Prabhupada: No, they are not brahmanas. Those who give education in exchange for money–they are not brahmanas. For instance, we are lecturing, educating people. We don’t say, “Give us a salary.” We simply ask them, “Please come.” That is why we are cooking food and holding so many free festivals. “We’ll give you food.
We’ll give you a comfortable seat. Please come and hear about self-realization and God consciousness.” We are not asking money–“First of all pay the fee; then you can come and learn Bhagavad-gita.” We never say that. But these so-called teachers who first of all bargain for a salary–“What salary will you give me?”–that is a dog’s concern. That is not a brahmana’s concern. A brahmana will never ask about a salary. A brahmana is eager to see that people are educated. “Take free education and be educated; be a human being”–this is a brahmana’s concern: You see? I came here not to ask for any money but to give instruction.
The BBT cannot pay any salary to anybody. Our philosophy is “simple living and high thinking”–not sense gratification. The temple presidents and leaders (elder students) must show this by example. Temple or asrama means for renunciation and renounced persons. If one is engaged in self-realization process, then his material necessities become almost nil. Persons who do not like this can work outside.

SYNONYMS
dambhah–pride; darpah–arrogance; abhimanah–conceit; ca–and; krodhah–anger; parusyam–harshness; eva–certainly; ca–and; ajnanam–ignorance; ca–and; abhijatasya–one who is born of; partha–O son of Prtha; sampadam–nature; asurim–demoniac.
TRANSLATION
Arrogance, pride, anger, conceit, harshness and ignorance–these qualities belong to those of demoniac nature, O son of Prtha.
PURPORT
In this verse, the royal road to hell is described. THE DEMONIAC WANT TO MAKE A SHOW OF RELIGION AND ADVANCEMENT IN SPIRITUAL SCIENCE, ALTHOUGH THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THE PRINCIPLES. They are always arrogant or proud in possessing some type of education or so much wealth. THEY DESIRE TO BE WORSHIPED BY OTHERS, AND DEMAND RESPECTABILITY, ALTHOUGH THEY DO NOT COMMAND RESPECT. Over trifles they become very angry and speak harshly, not gently. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT SHOULD BE DONE AND WHAT SHOULD NOT BE DONE. THEY DO EVERYTHING WHIMSICALLY, ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN DESIRE, AND THEY DO NOT RECOGNIZE ANY AUTHORITY. These demoniac qualities are taken on by them from the beginning of their bodies in the wombs of their mothers, and as they grow they manifest all these inauspicious qualities.

The most amazing thing is that the books distributors also get a salary on SRILA PRABHUPADA books, is not only the sexnyasi who get that even ordinary newcomers bhaktas do that exploitment in f-iskcon because of the bad example of all these so called kangooru and sannyasi only in name and dress because the real qualities of spiritual life are still very far away. The adherents of Kamsa were all influenced by the modes of passion as well as illusioned by the modes of ignorance, and their only business was to create enmity with saintly persons. Such activities can only reduce the duration of life. The demons accelerated the process and invited their deaths as soon as possible. The result of persecuting saintly persons is not only untimely death. The act is so offensive that the actor also gradually loses his beauty, his fame and his religious principles, and his promotion to higher planets is also checked.
