Did Srila Prabhupada invent something new ?

In a humble attempt to expose the everlasting truth of the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya  Sampradayas’ workings, inaugurated some trillions of years in ages of yore, to rescue lost conditioned souls like myself, we come to a strange topic that has been percolating recently. That of: Did His Divine Grace A.C. Srila Prabhupada, by His instructions “invent something new,” regarding disciplic succession; the passing of transcendental knowledge.
Hmmmmm…. this is a valid question. So as all-ways let’s see how His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada answers as to how one passes a perfect recipe called transcendental knowledge, seamlessly, in an unbroken chain.

Srimad-Bhagavatam lecture 7.9.28 Mayapur, March 6, 1976, Srila Prabhupada states,

“So this is the process. Tava bhrtya-seva. We have to… Adau gurvasrayam. First beginning of Vaisnava life is to accept guru, spiritual master, adau gurvasrayam, then other things. Because who will teach you? So we have to approach a pure Vaisnava as spiritual master, follow his instruction. And what is his instruction? His instruction is as he was instructed by his spiritual master. He does not invent instruction. This is instruction. The pure Vaisnava, he does not invent anything new.”

Hmmmm….For those interested in  following  the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradaya, this may lead to; Did Srila Prabhupada misunderstand the instructions of His Guru Maharaja ? Did His Divine Grace Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Maharaja a pure Vaisnava, invent anything new and pass it to His disciples, including another pure Vaisnava, Srila Prabhupada ?

Well, what exactly did His Divine Grace Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Maharaja request His disciples to do, being the directly empowered representative of Lord Sri Krsna and His Parampara, in constant Bhakti Yoga with Him, to keep this glorious and faultless chain intact?

” His (Bhaktisiddhanta) idea was acarya was not to be nominated amongst the governing body. He, said openly you make a GBC and conduct the mission. So his idea was amongst the members of GBC who would come out successful and self effulgent acarya would be automatically selected. So Sridhara Maharaja and his two associate gentlemen unauthorizedly selected one acarya and later it proved a failure. The result is now everyone is claiming to be acarya even though they may be kanistha adhikari with no ability to preach. In some of the camps the acarya is being changed three times a year. Therefore we may not commit the same mistake in our ISKCON camp.”   (Srila Prabhupada’s Letter  to Rupanuga, April 28, 1974.)

Hmmmm… So His Divine Grace Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Maharaja requested/ordered a few eternal edicts to His disciples according to what His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada expresses in this letter. Let’s attempt to examine three which seem to be the most important and relevant to the topic of “inventing something new.” One, “make a GBC and conduct the mission”, history shows Srila Prabhupada followed this order by initiating the same thing in the society He created called Iskcon. No inventions here. Next, “acarya was not to be nominated amongst the governing body.” History shows Srila Prabhpada  followed this order verbatim and it is easily seen in His Iskcon. Founder-Acarya. Founder-Acarya. Ohhhhh? He Did the same thing ? Really ?Why ? Well, let’s investigate and see.

Srila Prabhupada, by lovingly and humbly dancing in tune with His Guru Maharajas Lotus Footsteps, easily understood everything about the complete structure of a Bona-fide Vaisnava society built to reclaim lost conditioned souls, and it had/has nothing to do with a nomination of Acarya. This is the first understandings of aspiring Vaisnava devotees; it is the elementary basic stage of spiritual knowledge.  The cavernous, impassable gulf between the Savior and the saved is insurmountable, as Srila Bhaktisiddhanta stated, because one soul is a fully liberated devotee of Lord Sri Krsna and the other soul is a fully conditioned devotee of Maya-devi.  You say no, there is no such thing, absolutely an Acarya can and must be “nominated” in a Vaisnava society. Well, Let’s check our Sampradaya and other Vaisnava societies quickly  and let’s try to bring the Acaryas  who were nominated by a governing body forward for all to view.

Hmmmm…… Lord Krsna first instructed the first jiva and subsequent teacher in this universe, the four headed Lord Brahma, so was Lord Brahma “nominated” by a governing body? Was Narada Muni “nominated” ?  Were the Kumaras nominated ? Was Lord Siva “nominated” ? Was Goddess Laksmi nominated? Was Vyasadeva nominated ? Was Sukadeva Gosvami nominated ? Was Madhvacarya “nominated”?  How about Ramanujacarya ? Visnuswami ? Nimbarkacarya ? Isvara Puri ? Lord Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu ? The answer for all of them is NO ! Well, come on, there has to be someone who was chosen by the three modes of material nature, right ? let’s try…… Yeshua Krsna, was He “nominated” ? Hazrat Muhommad ? His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Maharaja ? His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada ? Whoever you name that is an Authentic and Bona-fide Vaisnava, in any universe, every single time the answer is a resounding, infinitely echoing,  NOOOOOOO !

This toxic creation of nomination, or, self-made god men voting system of Acaryas or Gurus, is a new, revised, enlarged and updated way to commit spiritual suicide, and with reckless abandon. This snare is only and solely for the materialists trapped in illusion, and is Maya-devi at her most finest. Seriously Prabhuji’s and Mataji’s, are we that far gone into the sinful abyss individually and collectively that we conditioned souls cannot understand that we are exempted from the process of choosing a representative of Lord Sri Krsna ? Do we not know and cannot accept that some of Them, like Srila Prabhupada, voluntarily descend from the anti material planets for a mission to save us, stay for awhile, and then go back home, Back to Godhead where they came from, and leave us the methodology to do likewise? Do we not comprehend that this nomination fiasco is the complete opposite example of how Lord Sri Krsna, from time immemorial, chooses to transfer transcendental knowledge from Spiritual Master to disciple ?

And lastly my dear Prabhuji’s and Mataji’s lets examine this statement by Srila Prabhupada,”amongst the members of GBC who would come out successful and (an) self effulgent acarya would be automatically selected.”  Why did His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Maharaja make this statement ?  Well, because He, being very dear and close to the Lord Sri Krsna, knows the Lord is the one who ultimately anoints Acaryas or Gurus and they appear whenever and wherever the disciplic succession is threatened by avaisnavas. History shows, and according to Srila Prabhupada, the Gaudiya Matha, as an overall unit, showed avaisnava behavior, disobeying His Divine Grace Bhaktisiddhantas’ eternal instructions, causing disastrous results to the Matha’s mission.  Why? Again, basics,  one can’t please Lord Sri Krsna without pleasing His representative who He sends here.  However, this did not stop His benediction about a “successful and (an) self effulgent acarya” appearing. Guess who that “successful and (an) self effulgent acarya” is  ? Yes my Prabhuji’s and Mataji’s, it is, i bluff you not, His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada !

Please, Please, Please take notice and deliberate fully on these examined statements.  What other conclusion does historical evidence provide then what Srila Prabhupada did was no mere invention. After all these revelations, one may ask, why did His Divine Grace Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Maharaja even request a GBC and a no voting in an Acarya ? Surely we can see this with a tinge of divine vision, the answer is because the Gaudiya Matha had a Bonafide Acarya, a living guru through Vani, there was no need for any shenanigans called nominating or voting. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta’s immortal instructions were blatantly there, which were to spread Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhus’ mission worldwide.  And yes Srila Prabhupada set up Iskcon to do the same thing with the same instructions, because He, understood and understands that unaltered Vani is Sri Gurudeva,.  Srila Prabhupada is and still is the Bonafide Founder-Acarya of Iskcon, Founder-Acarya, our Sri Guru Maharaja, and His immortal instructions are forever living through His Vani. His Guru Maharaja passed Him a recipe, and Srila Prabhupada being a brilliant and obedient student, instituted it again for us conditioned souls to humbly follow so as to not make the same mistake in our camp.  Some very few of us are following His transcendental footprints.

So, as we can see regarding the passing of transcendental knowledge from one pure devotee to another in the two most recent transactions of pure devotees of Lord Sri Krsna, there are/is no inventions. What there is is a divine union known as Bhakti Yoga. What us conditioned souls who are fortunate can see is that His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, with Iskcon, attempted to replicate, put the exact same instructions into motion following His Guru Maharaja. Srila Prabhupada set up the exact same, carbon copy, no deviations, the exact same program as His Guru Maharaja. He didn’t invent anything, read the above  provided again if need be. He attempted to re institute the same exact thing He learned from His Guru Maharaja.  To have a GBC to continue the mission, no Acaryas or Gurus selected by vote.  And if we follow these first two instructions than the mission of reclaiming lost souls continues uninterrupted.

So Prabhuji’s and Mataji’s lets attempt  individually and collectively, to kill the unenlightened noise vibrating from the avaisnavas, with divine logic and reason, that Srila Prabhupada and the Parampara has  bestowed upon us.  Yes, We may or may not be able to help them come to reality and surrender with their intelligence to Srila Prabhupada; faithfully understanding He, being instructed by a pure Vaisnava in the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradaya, didn’t invent anything new regarding the transmission of transcendental knowledge, disciplic succesion, in a Vaisnava society, but let’s try.  Srila Prabhupada was only interested in saving Srila Bhaktisiddhantas’ mission, Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s mission, not the bricks and mortars known as Gaudiya Matha.   If our ignorant kinfolk prefer to stay in such a wretched state,  and depend on their material, ecclesiastically concocted manifesto, fair enough, we all-ways keep it moving, all-ways, just like our Sri Gurudeva, His Divine Grace Srila Prabhpada. He has shown through His divine example that stagnicity doesn’t reside with us.  If they resist, we shall let them, as they have so persistently wished, disregarding this Absolute truth, at, and to, their own demise, again.

“What is the use of talking with this nonsense? Better say that ‘You know better than me.’ That’s all. ‘Go away.’ ” Upeksa. Upeksa. Neglect him, because he has no intention to learn. He has come to simply waste time.”
