**Please note that I’ve gotten some feedback about this article that some people feel that they’re being subtly attacked while reading it. You may feel itching sensations or pinprick sensations in different parts of your body.**
As an analytical person, I’ve always been interested to understand the mechanics of mystic powers. Reading in the Srimad Bhagavatam about how yogis are able to travel on sun rays or grab an object from miles away captured my imagination and for years I wondered how they did it. In the early 80s I was in front of the Krsna-Balaram temple in Vrndavan, outside of the gates, and a man was collecting a good amount of money from a gathering crowd. The paani wala told me, “you watch, it is mesmerizing.” Sure enough, the man collecting the money selected a teen-aged volunteer who weighed about 60 lbs. and had him lie down on a chaddar on the dirt road. The crowd gathered around and, after a few seconds, the young boy levitated about 2 feet off the ground. The boy’s body wasn’t level, like any respectable Hollywood levitation and didn’t last as long, either: after an instant the poor boy fell unceremoniously to the ground. But the crowd was pleased and thought that they got their money’s worth. What I had seen was an actual mystic levitation because there was no possibility that any props could have been erected in that dusty street that was almost continuously traversed by rickshaws, horse carts, bicycles and people. I remember thinking at the time, “I hope that one day I’ll understand how to do that.”
That was 35 years ago and today I do have a basic understanding of the physics behind levitation and other mystic cittis. By slowing down and coming into contact with the mode of goodness through living a simple lifestyle where we produce most of our necessities, my husband, Billy and I have gained some startling insights. Most of these insights have come through recognizing the synchronisities that Krsna seems to send our way when He wants us to learn something.
My understanding of mystic powers didn’t come from making an effort to try to understand them: I actually started to get an inkling of how they work when I set out to understand why people are so crazy. It seemed like everyone we came into contact with had serious mental and/or emotional problems. The neighborhood “wanderer” who marches with his baton and pom poms, talking to himself and laughing, is obviously crazy and easy to avoid. However Billy and I began to notice that apparently “normal” people, when we got to know them better, almost always had some serious quirks. For instance Marilyn, a respectable nurse, living in a decently maintained home and driving a fairly new car turned out to be a hoarder. When she invited me into her house, I had to walk sideways to squeeze through the hallways that were piled floor to ceiling with boxes. Her dining table was mounded with bags and boxes and her kitchen looked more like a multi-family garage sale than a place to prepare food.
It turned out that a respected, likable member of our neighborhood was an abusive husband and father and Mary, a sweet, loving Mom was taking Prozac for depression. I found out that even my horse shoer, Evan, had been prescribed meds for anxiety attacks. The scariest thing about this apparently ubiquitous loonyness is that I have to admit that I’m not immune: sometimes I’ll lose my temper over trivial matters and that mental attitude will severely affect my ability to be peaceful and happy. It even seems like my condition is contagious to the other person in our house.
When I want to understand something such as this pervasive craziness, I’ve learned to be patient an wait with an open mind for synchronicities (significant coincidences) to reveal the truth. Billy and I have noticed that the more we immerse ourselves in the SLHT lifestyle, the more Krsna reveals things through these synchronicities.
Interestingly one of the first synchronicities dealing with craziness occurred, not with a human, but with a cow who went crazy after giving birth to her first calf. Dhana had a difficult delivery and after we’d pulled the little heifer, Lani Moo out, Dhana, instead of licking her baby, lunged at her and we were had to scramble to drag the calf to safety. We ended up having to hand milk Dhana and put the colostrum in a bottle to give to Lani Moo to ensure that she got a good start. After several days of Dhana acting aggressive, lunging at the baby with her horns, whenever we showed her the calf, I called our vet, Dr. Briskey. Dr. Briskey, after hearing about Dhana’s behavior surprised us by declaring, “you have a ghost.” He then proceeded to expel the ghost over the phone. After he assured me that the ghost was gone, I went back out to the barn and sure enough, when I showed Dhana her calf, she made normal, motherly sounds and I let her lick and nurse her baby. I consider it synchronistic that I happen to have a vet that expels ghosts. He was the person who opened my eyes to the seriousness of the way that ghosts are able to affect, not only the minds of animals, but our minds, too.
Over the years I’ve worked on developing my consciousness of subtle beings and have had some interesting experiences, for instance with a friend, Wendy, who had at least 7 distinct personalities. When one of the personalities took over, Wendy would be unaware of what had transpired while that personality was in charge. One of them, Kara, was unable to speak English and we were able to trace some of the words she used to a dialect spoken in Pakistan. Billy and I were convinced that Wendy was genuinely multiple personalities, and not just acting, and Wendy’s husband, who actually enjoyed having a bevy of wives commented, “they’re all different in…”
I realized that Wendy’s mild, very non-assertive personality allowed other beings to take up residence in her body. One time I asked Libby, one of Wendy’s personalities if each personality was a separate soul or if they were all part of Wendy and Libby replied that they were all a part of Wendy. It was only later that I’d understand that one of the traits of these subtle beings is that they lie. Wendy died of cancer before she was 60 and I’ve come to understand the havoc that these things wreak on a person’s health.
My awareness of these subtle beings was further increased when I also became aware of how we are affected by ether, or chi, as it is called in China. In Sanskrit ether is called akasha. When we see things, it is because light is reflected off objects and our eyes transmit the photons to our optic nerve which transmits the information to our brain. Then our brain makes sense of the information and we “see’. We don’t see the oxygen and nitrogen molecules in our environment because those molecules don’t reflect light. But actually most of the space in air, or in anything, is empty ether, akasha. The molecules’ neutron and electrons themselves take up very little space, so our entire environment is ubiquitous with this akasha. When a skunk is in the yard, we immediately can smell it because the scent is a frequency carried by the akasha. Smell is not something picked up by oxygen or nitrogen molecules, but rather it is like a frequency that moves in the area around the molecules. Some animals such as dogs or sharks are able to detect even very faint smells with their noses because they are equipped with a very sensitive smelling (olfactory) nerve that carries those faint frequencies to their brain.
One property of the akasha is that it picks up the qualities of its environment and vibrates in that frequency. A place that is dirty, has had recent violence or tragedy will vibrate in a frequency that is palpably disturbing to someone who is sensitive. A place with nice smelling flowers, the sound of song birds and happy events will have an uplifting frequency, again to someone who is in tune with his/her environment. As we continued to progress in our efforts to become more self reliant, I began to become more sensitive to these various frequencies, and began to become aware of something quite disturbing: when I’d have my anger episodes, there was something there feeding on the frequency generated in the akasha. And that leech was actually escalating my anger in order to get a better meal.
I am an analytical person, so over the years, I’d analyze my “episodes” with a view to trying to overcome the degrading behavior of anger. But try as I might, my mind would get into a loop over some perceived offense (usually by the person closest to me) and even if I would consciously decide that I wasn’t going to say anything, I invariably end up behaving beneath my dignity. For instance, I’d be out working in the yard and need the stern gratistat to finish the job. I’d go to where the stern gratistat is usually kept and it isn’t there. Immediately I’d think that Billy took it and didn’t put it back (though in reality I’d probably misplaced it myself), and my mind would start deriding Billy as I spent more and more time looking for the stern gratistat. My thoughts would be like that song that won’t leave your head and I couldn’t escape because the leeches were there, amplifying the ugly thoughts through the medium of the akasha. Eventually, even if I’d consciously decide not to say anything to Billy about the missing stern gratistat, he’d end up feeling the brunt of my anger.
Now that I know about the leeches, I can easily expel them in such circumstances by simply mentally ousting them. The akasha carries thoughts as a frequency so I mentally address the leeches, telling them to “scat”, while being aware of Krsna’s presence as Supersoul. I follow up brandishing a sharp mental sword swishing through the akasha and those guys just don’t stay around. Then I can calmly address the problem at hand, finding the stern gratistat, which can be accomplished quite easily if my mind isn’t being disturbed by the leeches.
Having the skill to expel those trouble makers has probably been the most valuable thing that I’ve learned since embarking on this journey to learn self reliance. For me, having the specter of an anger episode constantly looming was like staying in a flea bag motel. Now I’m in the Ritz Carlton, just as long as I remember to oust the leeches.
My latest realizations regarding the leeches are in regards to how they can affect health. Billy’s friend, Harold, has had some serious episodes of heart arrhythmia. He’d have a good 24 hours of his heart racing and skipping beats followed by 24 hours of normal rhythm, which he uses to recover. Then another 24 hours of arrhythmia. There was nothing the doctors could do until finally one doctor suggested he try meditation. Harold learned mantra meditation from the doctor and was very pleasantly surprised that he didn’t have any arrhythmia episodes for months.
I also get occasional bouts of arrhythmia. When it happens, I’ve tried taking magnesium, taking showers and even touching the electric fence, but it always seemed that I just had to go through the arrhythmia that would usually last for a couple of hours. I’ve been chanting my rounds for the last 40 years, so I started to wonder what it was with the chanting that caused the arrhythmia to subside for Harold, while I would still be affected. Then it occurred to me: the leeches. The next night when the arrhythmia started, I mentally addressed the leeches, remembered God’s presence and brandished my sharp, flexible mental sword and presto! They went away and I was able to go right to sleep.
However a few months later I had a night when I was trying to go to sleep and the arrhythmia would start up. I’d vanquish the trouble makers and then relax to go to sleep and it would start up again. Finally I got up and started thinking about what was happening. Then it occurred to me: the arrhythmia always would start when I got in bed, and it had become almost a nightly thing. What was it about the akasha around the bed that allowed the leeches to have enough power to affect me? Then I realized that I was sleeping between a down comforter and a feather (lower) bed. The akasha around the feathers was necessarily imbued with the despair and suffering that the factory chickens must have had to endure before I ended up enjoying the warmth and softness of their feathers. I removed the down and feather bed the next night and have not had any problem other than an occasional flutter of arrhythmia that I goes away easily if I just hear Srila Prabhupada chanting in my head.
Devotees tend to think that because they chant Hare Krsna and do devotional service that they are immune from disturbances caused by ghosts. Srila Prabhupada said that simply by clapping ones hands in front of the Deites that ghosts will have to depart. The problem is that the more pesky ones are exactly like mosquitoes: you can clap and chant them away, but they’ll be back the moment your consciousness lapses into something more mundane. I’ve discovered that the only way to maintain an aura that is a strong force field to keep the problem at bay is to increase my contact with the mode of goodness.
An old friend recently sent me an e-mail explaining how her husband was suffering from a traumatic migraine headache that had caused him to be hospitalized and to lose over 40lbs. in a couple of months. Being interested in healing and herbal medicine, I did some research online regarding various successful home remedies for migraines. I happened to google “ghost & migraine” and found a fascinating article that not only gave a case study where chronic migraines were cured, but also gave a very plausible explanation about how the subtle beings use tamasic energy to send black coils of energy around the blood vessels. The article’s case study postulated that the person suffering from the migraines was attacked by a subtle sorcerer because she was taking up spiritual practices and that the attack was in response to her efforts. I sent the article to my friend with the sick husband and she responded that because her husband chants his rounds and takes prasadam, it would be impossible for him to be affected by ghosts.
I have corresponded with one of the people behind putting up the website containing the article about migraines and, yes, they’re mayavadis. What is interesting is that many of the remedial efforts that they take up to combat the influence of subtle beings (which they claim outnumber embodied humans by 9 to 1) are things that Srila Prabhupada instructed us to do to help us become Krsna conscious. Things such as offering pure incense; wearing devotional clothing (as opposed to Western clothing); eating vegetarian food; taking cold showers; chanting; keeping a clean environment; and avoiding alcohol, drugs and stimulants are recommended by these mayavadis in order to minimize the havoc caused by the myriads of disembodied entities that feed off of any negativity we generate.
Billy, my husband, who has never lived in a temple environment, has often wondered why some devotees seem to be so afflicted with emotional and personality challenges. (I won’t go into descriptive detail here to substantiate this point–suffice it to mention that he’s met his share of devotees who were overly controlling, self-centered, unfriendly, arrogant, self-righteous or addicted.) Although he’s also met many admirable, kind, devotees, he’s very surprised at the number of them who are so broken in spite of following a spiritual path, sometimes for many decades. Because Srila Prabhupada gives us indications that the subtle entities are organized, I suspect that the leaders probably send the stronger ones to affect the devotees, and their subtle influence causes the deviant devotees to suffer from a variety of psychological afflictions. From a spiritual perspective, it makes sense that devotees, who are versed in spiritual philosophy would receive much more serious consequences for deviations in behavior than other people. Here is one quote where Srila Prabhupada suggests that there is a hierarchy among the bhutas. (I wonder if they have taxes, too?)
“Lord Siva is called the Bhuta-natha, being assisted by various types of powerful ghosts and denizens of the inferno–Bhutas, Pretas, Pramathas, Guhyakas, Dakinis, Pisacas, Kusmandas, Vetalas, Vinayakas and Brahma-raksasas. (Of all kinds of ghosts, the Brahma-raksasas are very powerful. Brahmanas transferred to the role of ghosts become Brahma-raksasas.)” Krsna Book, Chapter 63
If Lord Siva is the master of the bhutas, it follows that there is some type of social system with generals, lieutenants and minions, because that is how beings tend to organize, even in the spiritual world. In other references in his books and lectures, Srila Prabhupada explains that the Pasacas are subtle beings that interfere due to black magic–in other words may be controlled by embodied people, and that Pramathas are actually good beings, perhaps the enlightened beings that are discussed later in this article.
I had an interesting synchronicity just the other day when I was contemplating whether to write this article. I realized that writing an article on the subject of mystic cittis would include what I’ve discovered about bhutas and that such revelations would probably irritate them. I was also wondering if I should write the article as the subject matter might upset some readers. I happened to get a forwarded e-mail from a distant friend that contained an interesting quote that the writer claims is from the Garuda Purana.
Garuda asked, “but sometimes ghosts come and pester people. How do they manage to do that? How do they escape from hell?”
“In the same manner that prisoners escape from prison”, answered Vishnu. “They come and disturb their friends and relatives. They return to their old houses and cause all sorts of illnesses, such as fever. They are positively delighted when people get headaches or cholera. The more they loved their dear ones when they were alive, the more harm they cause them as ghosts. It is in kaliyuga that one has all these ghosts. There were no such ghosts is satyayauga, dvaparayuga or tretayuga. These ghosts cause strife among friends and kill animals and children.”
“How does one know that ghosts are around?” asked Garuda.
“The signs are fairly obvious”, replied Vishnu. “Animals die and friends fight. There are sudden catastrophes. Children turn against their parents, brahmanas are criticized and there are bad harvests. Fire breaks out for no reason at all. Husband and wife fight all the time. These are all signs.”
“What does one do if one knows that there are ghosts around?” asked Garuda.
“I have already indirectly answered the questions”, replied Vishnu. “Perform a funeral ceremony for the ghost. But it is also good to consult someone who is learned in these matters, a diviner or astrologer (daivajna).”A ghost is a sinner. And a person who knows that there are ghosts around but does nothing about it, also becomes a sinner by contamination. In his next life such a person is born poor, diseased, without a living and does not have any sons. Or he may even be born as an animal. If nothing is done about the ghosts, the ghosts themselves realize after sometime that there is no hope for salvation in haunting people. Their only hope for salvation lies in returning to hell and serving out their terms of penance. So they return to hell and give up the haunting. The worst form of ghost is a pishacha. They are very mischievous. They appear to their friends and relatives in all sorts of different forms, as bulls, horses and elephants. They make sleepers have nightmares. They frighten people . Sometimes pishachas appear and beg for food. At other times, they steal food and water. You will know a pishacha if you run into a cow or bull that talks in the human tongue. Friends and relatives discover that they are being carried (through the sky) to all sorts of different places by the pishacha. If it is known that a pishacha is around , the first thing that is to be done is to bathe in a tirtha. A bliva tree is to be watered next. And finally a ceremony is to be performed, at which learned brahmanas are given grain.”
The above quote was received without any documentation that it is a translation from an authentic source, so I can’t vouch for its veracity. However I consider it to synchronistic that I happened to receive it while I was wondering about this article, so I’ve included it here. As I’m writing this, I’m being particularly attacked by subtle entities: I have itching and pinprick-like pains in various parts of my body and have a severe back ache although my back was fine in the morning before I started work writing. I’ve put magnets on my back and the worst itching spot (my wrist) which have foiled their efforts to some degree. Apparently the torus effect of the electrons in the magnet is like a tornado to the subtle pests. They get a foot hold in any place in the body that has even a small amount of damage, such as a sore back muscle from working in the garden, and focus their energy on that spot, causing sometimes a considerable amount of pain. If the pain immediately subsides with the application of a magnet, I know I’ve been affected by a leech. (As a side note, I buy disc shaped neodynium (rare earth) magnets from Amazon and use two of them with my clothing sandwiched between them at the affected location.)
The connection between mystic cittis and the bhutas came when I was discussing my experiences with ghosts and my realizations about how they affect our minds with my friend, Hansadutta Prabhu. He told me about a former Catholic Priest named Johannas Greber who wrote a book titled, Communication with the Spirit World of God. Hansadutta Prabhu told me that Greber was a vegetarian and his mother knew him personally and would attend his services. I bought the book and was astounded with his story. Apparently Greber had been a Catholic Priest but a series of synchronicities had led him to explore the paranormal world. He writes of his understanding of the miracles in the Bible, giving them very plausible explanations that he claims came from channeling from what he calls the Spirit World of God. The book has some very interesting stories about how the channeling occurs and the qualities of people that he calls mediums. In the book, lower beings were also sometimes channeled but Greber gives some very precise guidelines about how to determine whether a communication is coming from a lower being or from a more enlightened one.
One enlightened spirit gave Greber a very plausible explanation of how the mystic cittis work and details about the various miracles in the Bible. After reading the book, I could see that mystic cittis are understandable much in the same way that thermal dynamics or the behavior of waves is understandable. Basically there is an element, which in the book is called “od” that is apparently the same element that Srila Prabhupada calls ether or akasha. This akasha is everywhere, but the quality of the akasha is determined by the environment. To perform any mystic act such as levitation, teleportation or manifesting an object, good quality akasha needs to be condensed. Condensed akasha takes on the form of plasma, which can then be manipulated by the mind of the mystic.
Greber explains that the burning bush in the Bible story of Moses was actually condensed akasha. When viewed at night or twilight, condensed akasha has a glimmering quality that appears something like a flame. It is not hot, however, but rather seems to suck the heat from surrounding area. In fact when people are in close proximity of condensed akasha, they notice the temperature to fall significantly.
Greber also explains that in former times, people would hold elaborate sacrifices for the purpose of gathering good quality akasha. By making festive arrangements with flowers, incense, sattvik music, fruits and mantras, capable people would collect large amounts of akasha which could then be used to achieve things that were otherwise impossible.
Just as good quality akasha can be used for positive, uplifting purposes, diabolical akasha is used give power to the people who collect it. Collecting diabolical akasha much easier and requires very little austerity or self discipline. If animals or people are terrified and sacrificed, the resulting akasha can harvested and used to achieve a variety of worldly goals. Recently there have been a number of fairly hushed up news stories that indicate many of the top politicians and celebrities may be using this dark side of the mystic arts. I was going to write more on this subject, but just doing a little research was very disturbing, so I’ll just leave it for any reader to research if he/she is inclined. Here is an article that discusses this further: article.
I’ve had a number of synchronicities that have helped me to understand that by chanting good rounds, we automatically collect the highest quality akasha, and carry it with us in our bodies. My godbrother, Ishan Prabhu, has had some amazing realizations and he has helped me to improve my chanting quality. Here is a link to an article he wrote about chanting: Ishan’s article. Synchronistically I happened to be reading in the Second Canto where Srila Prabhupada verifies what I had been suspecting about the akasha and chanting.
I understand the basics of how mystic cittis work and have gathered akasha. However I haven’t had any synchronicities that have led me to believe that Krsna wants me to perform any mystic activities. I’m actually quite wary of it. In one of my reoccurring dreams, I’m flying around, just using mystic abilities and enjoying the sensation of flying. But a big part of my enjoyment is the fact that people watching are amazed by my abilities. People who know me will probably attest that humility isn’t my strong suit, so being able to do the amazing things that can be accomplished by manipulating the akasha would not be good for my spiritual life. I’m even doubtful about writing about this that people might think either that I’m spiritually advanced, or that I want people to think I’m spiritually advanced. Neither is true. Understanding mystic cittis is just like understanding anything else in physics: it doesn’t require sincerity or spiritual advancement. My understanding came through a series of synchronicities that I take as an indication that Krsna wants me to have a deeper understanding of His creation. And that, really is the purport of the simple living, high thinking lifestyle: it seems to give me a deeper perspective of the message that Srila Prabhupada shared with us all.
Conclusion
The simple living, high thinking lifestyle is the perfect compliment to Krsna consciousness. By utilizing the arrangements of nature to produce our own necessities, we’ve been able to notice when Krsna arranges synchronicities, coincidences to give us a deeper perspective of Srila Prabhupada’s teachings. In the past when I heard the Bhagavatam verse (1/1/10) ending with “…above all, always disturbed”, I’d think of all the outward disturbances that occur to disturb my mind. The deeper understanding that I now have is yes, all of those outward disturbances are indeed disturbing, but really nothing compared the little gang of leechy pests that seem to be assigned to me to pester my mind and body. Fortunately Krsna has also guided me to some remedies so that I can mitigate the disturbances and I’m very grateful that this knowledge has allowed me to triumph over my embarrassing episodes of anger. Unless we are 100% Krsna conscious, we are all “always disturbed”, but Srila Prabhupada has given us the tools to combat the disturbers.
Regarding mystic abilities, it’s just physics, and anyone can learn to perform mystic feats, especially if he’s willing to take the dark route. It is very possible that in the future some devotees will have to develop some of the mystic skills due to possible calamities. But, who knows, it is also possible that devotees will have to train pigeons, as described in the Bhagavatam, to provide an easy form of transportation.

Attention Prabhus to the link mentioned in the article…. Beware the SSRF website!
Although it promulgates chanting the Lord’s Holy Names, you will not find one single reference on the entire site to the Mahā-mantra, Śrīla Prabhupāda or Śrī Caitanya Mahaprabhu! It even warns against using mantras (although not specifically mentioned I’m sure they mean: Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare, Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare) and instead just to repeat one Name mindlessly over and over again whilst going about one’s normal daily chores. Sort of like taking an antacid to ward off indigestion, but instead, ward off ghosts.
The dude who foundered (pun intended) the SSRF was an atheist hypnotherapist before he “saw the light” so to speak.Caveat emptor!

IT IS PRACTICALLY EXPERIENCED. I KNOW THAT THE GHOST, IF YOU GO IN A HOUSE GHOSTLY HAUNTED, IF YOU CHANT HARE KRSNA MANTRA, THEY’LL GO AWAY. THEY CANNOT TOLERATE. In my life there was several incidences like that. In my household life, I was doing business in Lucknow. So there was one house, very big house, worth thousands of rupees’ rent, but it was ghostly haunted. So nobody would take that house. I took it at two hundred rupees, (laughter) and very big house. And I was… All the servants, they complained, “Sir, there is ghost.” So I was chanting. He was living in several spots, especially on the gate side. So I could understand, but I would chant Hare Krsna, and I was saved. Everyone was saved. There was… And, say, in 1969 I was guest in the house of John Lennon in London. So there was a ghost in… It was a big plot. There was a guest house. SO THEY COMPLAINED, “SIR, HERE IS GHOST.” SO I ADVISED THEM TO CHANT HARE KRSNA, AND THE GHOST WENT AWAY. YES. THIS IS FACT. WHEN THERE IS HARE KRSNA CHANTING, THESE GHOSTLY, DEMONIC LIVING ENTITIES, THEY’LL NOT BE ABLE TO STAY THERE. THEY’LL GO AWAY.

“During our stay at Tittenhurst, Janaki, Malati and Yamuna befriended a red-haired Scottish woman named Mrs. McDougal who was living in a small Georgian house on the property. Her husband was a bricklayer who was working on the estate and whom the Lennons were happy to accommodate in addition to paying him. Howard McDougal, the bricklayer, was a very quiet man.
One evening Janaki told me that Mrs. McDougal had confided in her that she and her husband were being kept awake at night by strange noises coming from the top floor of their house. They were afraid they were going to lose their home and employment because Mr. McDougal had to sleep during the day and wasn’t getting enough work done on the Lennon property.
“They’re convinced it’s a ghost,” Janaki said. “She said she thinks it’s the work of the ‘deil.’ I think that’s Scottish for devil. She asked me if I thought she was crazy, and I said no, that the Vedas say it’s possible for a soul to be in a ghost body, I mean a subtle body, but no material body and senses.”
“Maybe they should tell John and Yoko,” I suggested.
“I said the same thing,” Janaki said. “She said they’d told them, and Yoko hired an exorcist to get rid of it, but he couldn’t do anything about it. He said the ghost was too powerful.”
“What kind of sounds do they hear?” I asked.
“She said they hear heavy chains rattling and something being dragged across the floor.”
“Like what?”
“She said it sounded like a body being dragged, or like boots.” “Chains and dragged bodies sounds pretty cliché to me,” I said.
I had always been skeptical about ghosts and supernatural beings, but when I met Prabhupada, I’d discovered that ghosts appear in many of the scriptures of India. Although the Vedas supported the idea of some ghosts being friendly, most of them seemed to be malevolent because they were frustrated. According to the Vedas, ghosts still had minds and desired food, sex and other sensory pleasures, but they could not fulfill these desires because they had no sense organs. Prabhupada said it was possible for a disembodied being to continue to reside in a particular house because of excessive attachment to the dwelling. He also said some powerful ghosts had the ability to possess others’ bodies to gratify their desires, especially the bodies of those who had taken alcohol or drugs or were in some kind of vulnerable state.
“They’re really upset about it. Can we ask Prabhupada what we should do?” “I think so,” I said.
When I told Prabhupada about the situation, his response was direct.
“Drive it out,” he said gravely.
“How?” I asked. “They hired an exorcist and even he couldn’t help!”
“Yes, but Krishna can!” Prabhupada insisted. “On a cloudy day, ask the people to leave the house. Then you have loud kirtan. Use mrdanga, karatalas and keep blowing conch shell. Sprinkle water offered to Krishna on floor. Burn lots of incense. You must chant Hare Krishna in the house all day.”
“You think that will drive away the ghost?” I asked a little doubtfully.
“Yes,” he said with certainty. “A ghost cannot remain in presence of Krishna’s name.”
A couple of days later, twenty devotees gathered in the McDougals’ home for a spirited Hare Krishna chanting session.
“We’re gonna be a few hours,” Janaki said to Mrs. McDougal. “Why don’t you take a walk?”
“Well, there’s a wee bit of rain, but we can take our brollies,” Mrs. McDou- gal agreed.
The kirtan lasted five hours. We threaded our way through all the rooms of the small house, singing and playing our instruments loudly. At three o’clock we finally concluded our “exorcism” and I scuffed out across the sodden park to find the McDougals. I found them sitting on a damp bench among the rhododendron bushes. “The coast’s clear,” I said. “You can go home now and, I hope, get a good night’s sleep tonight.”
The next morning, Mrs. McDougal reported that they had slept peacefully throughout the night without any disturbance coming from the attic. For the months that we stayed at Tittenhurst, the sounds were not heard again. The McDougals were immensely grateful to us and to Prabhupada for saving their sanity and their livelihood. This experience was something of a first for me, but I took it in my stride and reasoned that this was a demonstration of how Krishna conscious philosophy solved people’s real-life problems in a practic- al way. I’d seen Krishna consciousness help improve people’s health through vegetarianism, and I’d seen drug addicts come clean through practicing the philosophy that Prabhupada expounded. Now I could add to that list that I’d seen a home exorcised through the chanting of Hare Krishna.
Prabhupada himself seemed quite taken by the incident. At Conway Hall a few nights later I was busy organizing something and wasn’t paying much attention to Prabhupada’s lecture. Then I heard him say, “We drove the ghost from John Lennon’s house.” I couldn’t help smiling at the fact he’d told his audience about this in the middle of a lecture on Vedic philosophy.”
Chapter 32 – Tittenhurst Times
Miracle On Second Avenue by Mukunda Gosvami
John Lennon was a degenerate bisexual faggot and his ‘witch’ Yoko Ono a crazy lesbian who admitted sleeping with Hillary Clinton another crazy, pedophile, lying bitch who should be spending life in a jail cell.
What sort of disgusting person would admit to that? Who cares about Yoko Ono! Mukunda never gets tired of talking about The Beatles and goes on and on and on and on……..about how he had the association of these “famous people”. Mukunda is a Crypto Jew bogus arse-licker! Who cares about Lennon and Yoko Ono and all the ”peace-freak” retards like them. Dancers, artists, thesbians, minstrels and clowns are all sudras and are only ”successful” when they bow down to their masters, the elite, the illuminati. They have nothing to say except “peace man”, just like Russell Brand another phony who is married to Jewish Jemima Khan (Goldsmith) who’s father is a billionaire Jewish financier and banker and who’s brothers are BOTH married to Rothschilds. Russell is a ‘New Age” Rothschild Stooge who is covertly promoting the New World Order.
Dandaheads and FISKCON ”News” can’t get enough of Russell and Rottenath, and don’t they just love a ”vegan-burger”?………………. This sort of crap really makes me puke!
Those who say ghosts bad elements etc require some bogus Anti Ritvik astrologer like Patita Pavan das etc to remove their influence are deluded. These guys just want your MONEY. The holy name HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA, KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE, HARE RAMA HARE RAMA, RAMA RAMA HARE HARE
is sufficent BECAUSE the holy name IS Lord Krsna Himself. HOW CAN ghosts and bad elements be more powerful then Lord Krsna??????? We have to listen to Srila Prabhupada NOT some upstart bogus Anti Ritvik Astrologers etc. Just have FAITH in Srila Prabhupada’s words:

WHEN THERE IS HARE KRSNA CHANTING, THESE GHOSTLY, DEMONIC LIVING ENTITIES, THEY’LL NOT BE ABLE TO STAY THERE. THEY’LL GO AWAY.
The realm of ghosts (bhutas) is only the ‘subtle realm’ and has nothing to do with The Spiritual World. This guy Gruber (Austrian Jewish) was an Ashkenazi Crypto Jew, who got tired of digging graves and ditches (thats what ‘Gruber’ means) and decided to become a parasitical Papist (not unlike the many Crypto Jewish parasites in ISKCON) and also ‘dabble’ into reading the Talmud, which is demonic.
Ashkenazi Crypto Jew, Tamal was in a position of great power while he and his Crypto Kike pals were poisoning Srila Prabhupada, but when I was visited by his Ghost (subtle body) he was powerless, defeated, silent, resigned to his awful fate, cadaverous, pale and descending down to HELL. Hansadutta doesn’t believe that Srila Prabhupada was poisoned so what is the value of what Hansadutta says? What is the point of reading books by fools like Johannes Gruber? he is a conditioned soul who was a Jewish, papist imposter schooled in the Catholic doctrine which is satanic as they actually worship Semiramis, Nimrod and Tammuz (the personification of the trinity of evil).
Lord Sri Krishna arranges EVERYTHING, so being visited by Tamal’s ghost was Krishna’s arrangement also. I have had other experiences by ghosts also many years ago, but this is the ‘subtle realm’ which is material. Better to follow the advise of Srila Prabhupada and not Crypto Jews like Hansadutta.
Your link ‘article’ has much information about Satanism and many Satanists are also Crypto Jews. These people have a high proclivity for homosexuality and mental imbalance, lying, control and deception. The worlds obsession with homosexuals, lesbians, tattoos, porn, prostitution, drugs, voyerism, gluttony, “body modification”, permissiveness, vulgar materialism, envy, the demi-monde, trivia and hysteria is all coming through the Jewish Owned Media, a vehicle to promote Satanism.
Yes, this is all very dark stuff but it has been going on for thousands of years. The USA is now in ‘free-fall’ (as this is part of the Zionist plan) and will be destroyed in the next few years, but only the Maha Mantra HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE……….and of course Srila Prabhupada can save us!
