ISKCON BANGALORE Summer 2009
Jul 28, BANGALORE, INDIA (CHENNAI ONLINE) — ISKCON Bangalore today accused ISKCON Mumbai behind the irregularity allegations levelled against it in the floor of the Karnataka Assembly and said that “self-made gurus had dented the (ISKCON) movement”.
“ISKCON has lost its image in the world except India due to various acts of self-made gurus after the death of the founder Prabhupada,” President of the Bangalore International Society for Krishna Consciousness Madhu Pandit said.
Bangalore ISKCON had opposed to succession to the post of Acharya by western disciples.
Reports of gurus’ involvement with women, drug abuse and such instances had marred the image of the movement, which was a very vibrant one internationally when the founder was alive.
“The Acharyas fell to disgrace causing great embarrassment in the public. Those who raised voices against the self-made gurus (post-Prabhupada’s death) have been thrown out.
