I like to do exactly what Prabhupada wants me to do, and that is to preach Krsna consciousness, or the glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead which is made possible by the distribution of Prabhupadas sacred literature. I like to encourage people in developing their relationship with Srila Prabhupada and help them gain their attachment to Prabhupada. Only Srila Prabhupada can instill in us the confidence, determination and faith to go forward to reestablish our forgotten loving relationship with God, Lord Krsna.

HOW DID YOU COME TO THE SHELTER OF SRILA PRABHUPADA?

After becoming exasperated investigating so many philosophies, religions and spiritual healers, yogis, swamis and gurus, I concluded that the only guidance on the path of spirituality was His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. By meeting his very sincere and beautiful disciples, I saw in them the undeniable genuineness which was reflected in their adherence in following Srila Prabhupada. I accepted Srila Prabhupada as my spiritual master in July 1970.

Im benefiting by becoming my real true self, free from the contaminations of material existence. And simultaneously getting the array of light of my understanding and appreciation of God, Lord Sri Krsna.

About Kapindra Swami

Original disciple of Srila Prabhupada, has sincerely served Prabhupada for over 40 years. His dedication to lovingly and diligently keeping Prabhupada’s Hare Krishna movement exactly what Prabhupada intended, through Prabhupada’s personal instructions, is incomparable. It’s no wonder where ever Kapindra Swami is, Prabhupada’s original sankirtan movement thrives.

Kapindra Swami has invited countless souls to take part in sankirtan activities and has made devotees, giving first and second initiations under Prabhupada’s ritvik system. This means an appointed elder disciple of Prabhupada initiates on Prabhupada’s behalf and the devotees become direct disciples of Srila Prabhupada. His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is both diksa and siksa guru. Diksa-he is instructing guru (there may be many). Siksa-he (Prabhupada) will deliver his disciple from the cycle of birth and death (there is one).

Some of Maharaja’s Qualifications and Accomplishments—

1. Sold his business and gave all of his possessions to ISKCON in 1970.
2. Adherence to daily sadhana program for 35 years.
3. Continued the original ISKCON “1966-1977” movement in 1986 in New York City with Srila Prabhupada as the one and only spiritual master, following a 24-hour Sankirtan program.
4. Performed over 35 rtvik-initiations on behalf of Srila Prabhupada.
5. Started Prabhupada glorification festivals at Prabhupada’s Tree in Tompkins Square Park 1995 regularly twice a year until 2004.
6. Served out free hot prasadam plates to nearly 200,000 homeless and hungry at the entrance of Tompkins Square Park since 1988.
7. Established the hearing of Srila Prabhupada’s daily Srimad Bhagavatam and Bhagavad gita lectures followed by lively discussion with devotees in New York.
8. Began the verse of the week program by practicing the reciting of the most often used slokas by Srila Prabhupada.
9. Published booklets that advocate taking shelter of Srila Prabhupada:

20. Encourages everyone to understand the evil done to Srila Prabhupada (his poisoning).
21. Educating people about the adulteration of Srila Prabhupada’s books and the usurping of his ISKCON movement.

23. Observing brahmacharya (celibacy and austerity under the guidance of the bona fide spiritual master Srila Prabhupada for the sake of God realization) for over 35 years.

Oh!, Kapindra Swamiji! He is a real Prabhupadanuga! I remember him fondly from the 55th st. NY temple back in the 80’s. Sometimes he would go out on Sankirtan with us and just wouldn’t stop enthusing us to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books. He’s so devouted to his spiritual master. They used to undermine him, not only because of his phisical impairment, but also and foremost, because of his opposition to the post-77′ ruling by the GBC. He told me once, personally, “Only Prabhupada is the Acarya, anything else, I don’t know”…
My humble obeisances to Kapindra Maharaja. May the Lord protect him always. Obeisances to all vaisnavas! All glories to HDG Srila Prabhupada! Sri-Sri Gaura-Nitai ki Jai! Hare krsna!

We are experiencing real transcendence, being properly situated at the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada, under the guidance of our temple president, His Holiness Kapindra Swami. As a sannyasi his service is to give spiritual education to people in general, particularly to the devotees, and to reestablish Srila Prabhupada’s position as the jagad-guru. He is a messenger of this transcendental science of Krishna as given by Srila Prabhupada.

I had the unique pleasure of serving with him and several devotees who came from New York City by train to Montreal for a Hari Nam, prasadam and book distribution festival that I organized and paid for. That was the summer of 2001. We took lots of photos. It was glorious! He was 100% dedicated to Srila Prabhupada’s service. I am sure he is now back home at the Godhead.
