I would like to add a little history here. The Bhagavad Gita Guide has for many many years been a desire of mine. After long searches Yasodanandan prabhu sent me the original guide approved by Srila Prabhupada. It was sent to me on line. It had to be cleaned up as there were a great many computer language letter notations throughout. The whole process took just under two years with the help of a devotee named Radha Govinda Swam and Yasodannandan prabhu. We worked back and forth daily after my work as a bus driver. Two other web sites carry the guide but it is not as prominent as it is at this wonderful site.

The Gita that is presented on line at the post was sent to me by a Bhakta David. I am not sure if he is the creator but he heard of my search for a complete on line original Gita and sent me this one. It has everything from cover to cover including the glossary. I have not yet found any other on line 1972 Gita that is this accurate and complete. Wonderful, now everyone around the world can study the Gita on line and use the Guide at the reading and study room.

Lastly I had been searching for a Bhakta Book so that those interested in getting serious about absorbing their lives daily in Krsna consciousness would have a bona fide book to follow. I found the original book The Krishna Consciousness handbook from 1970 at Krishna.org and copied it and reformatted it into a PDF to be downloaded and printed for new people or new devotees interested in the early history of the original ISKCON.

Back about 2001 I had very dear friend do an exact copy of Srila Prabhupada’s Easy Journey To Other Planets that was published in India in 1959. By the way he refused payment for his two week service but I insisted. I had received an old original copy from Yasodadanandan prabhu in the mail one day. Upon completion Mr. Gupta was sent the original CD to print up the books and was astounded by the accuracy and detail as was I. When they were printed up I was sent a large case free for distribution. Unfortunately Mr Gupta and the original CD have been lost and there are no more of those original format books in print.

Krishna Path used to have the original on it’s site with the original cover but the interior was a real mess. I complained to them but heard nothing back. Search and see if you can find it. It is a simple beige cover.

The ISKCON Krishna Consciousness Handbook (1970) PDF Download

I am at present searching for an original copy of The Sri Srimurti Puja booklet that was available in Los Angels in 1970.
My prayer is said daily. Join me perhaps we can relocate it and print it up.

We the disciples and followers are humbly requesting that somehow or other You locate for us and the world the original Sri Srimurti booklet published by Your ISKCON in Los Angeles that was available in 1970. We now include this prayer in our daily worship until it is located, copied and reprinted for all the worlds future generations to help improve Your Deity worship and glorify Your holy names. Indeed we will begin there after with a daily prayer of thanks.”
