Yes – Gopal Krishna has the biggest Vyasasana of them All
GBC-Resolution 1987
55. That there should be no personal seat for gurus in the temple room other than Prabhupada’s Vyasasana. One asana shall be present in the temple room for use as an asana for giving Srimad Bhagavatam class.
A gosvāmī, or the bona fide representative of Śrī Vyāsadeva, must be free from all kinds of vices. The four major vices of Kali-yuga are (1) illicit connection with women, (2) animal slaughter, (3) intoxication, (4) speculative gambling of all sorts. A gosvāmī must be free from all these vices before he can dare sit on the vyāsāsana. No one should be allowed to sit on the vyāsāsana who is not spotless in character and who is not freed from the above-mentioned vices. He not only should be freed from all such vices, but must also be well versed in all revealed scriptures or in the Vedas. (SB 1.1.6, Purport)
Unfortunately, after being worshiped and seated in His place, Lord Balarāma saw Romaharṣaṇa, the disciple of Vyāsadeva (the literary incarnation of Godhead), still sitting on the vyāsāsana. He had neither gotten up from his seat nor offered Him respects. Because he was seated on the vyāsāsana, he foolishly thought himself greater than the Lord; therefore he did not get down from his seat or bow down before the Lord. (Krsna Book 78)
The Curious Story of Romaharshana Suta
By: Narasimha das
[Note: I wrote a version of this article by hand (minus the parts in brackets) and gave it to Tamal Krishna Gosvami in late 1979 when we were staying at our ISKCON farm project in Oklahoma. The next day when I brought him his lunch, I noticed he had “Krishna Book” opened to Chapter 77. He said, “Let’s discuss your article.” He got an urgent call right after lunch, and we never had that discussion. But he gave me permission to leave his “zone”, and shortly thereafter he spoke his famous Topanga Canyon confessions, wherein he frankly admitted Srila Prabhupada had never appointed any gurus.]
In Srila Prabhupada’s KRISHNA BOOK, Chapter 77, we find the story of Romaharshana Suta. This man was a learned transcendentalist and direct disciple of Srila Vyasadeva. But he was not a pure devotee. Srila Prabhupada explains: “his transcendental realization was not perfect.”
Just prior to the advent of the age of Kali, many great sages and saintly persons gathered at the holy place of Naimisharanya to perform a great sacrifice via the recitation of the pastimes of the Supreme Lord and His pure devotees. Such narrations are found in the Puranas, such as Srimad-Bhagavatam and Mahabharata, and in other authorized scriptures. In Vedic culture, advanced devotees well-versed in these scriptures would often lead long discourses and discussions of these important topics. Unlike the modern-day bhagavat-saptas performed by professional speakers to impress laymen for sake of their own financial gain, these meetings were attended almost exclusively by ascetics and yogis, or serious transcendentalists eager to develop full Krishna consciousness.
Romaharshana Suta had studied all the Vedas and Puranas under the personal guidance of Srila Vyasadeva, the literary incarnation of God. Therefore he had been elected to sit on the vyasasana at the great assembly of transcendentalists, even though he had not been born in a lineage of pure brahmins. We find many examples mentioned in Srila Prabhupada books wherein a person not born in a family of brahmins had achieved the position of a brahmin or acharya by virtue of training, staunch sadhana and realization in Krishna consciousness. Srila Haridas Thakura, for instance, who was born in a family of Mohammedans, was recognized as the best devotee and given the title of nama-acharya by Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Himself. Srila Haridas Thakura, however, was the emblem of humility and never considered himself a great devotee or teacher of Vaishnavas.
Romaharshana Suta was not a devotee on the level of Haridas Thakura. In spite of his learning and exalted status, he had failed to perfectly realize his constitutional position as a tiny part and parcel of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Rather he imagined himself to be the greatest sadhu. He dared to sit on the vyasasana–even in the presence of many learned devotees who hailed from dynasties of pure and exalted brahmins or brahma-rishis. Moreover, when everyone else stood up and offered obeisance to welcome Lord Balarama, Romaharshana Suta remained seated. Srila Prabhupada mentions that he should have followed the example of all the other learned sages present by standing to receive Lord Balarama.
[Note: Srila Prabhupada’s “Nectar of Devotion” states that everyone should stand up to greet the Deities. No one should remain seated.]
Srila Prabhupada writes: “When Lord Balarama saw that Romaharshana Suta did not understand the highest principle of religiousness in spite of having studied all the Vedas, He certainly could not support his position. Romaharshana had been given the chance to become a perfect brahmana, but because of his ill behavior in his relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, his low birth was immediately remembered… “
What is the highest principle of religiousness? If a brahmin does not know the answer to this question and has not realized the import of all the Vedas, then he should not think of himself as guru or exalted leader among Vaishnavas and saintly persons. If he does so, he may make the mistake of Romaharshana and think himself as exalted as Lord Balarama or His empowered representative. Srila Prabhupada mentions elsewhere in this connection: “One should not imitate the behavior of an advanced devotee or maha-bhagavata without being self-realized, for by such behavior one will eventually become degraded.”
Both Lord Krishna and Lord Balarama killed many obnoxiously sinful persons in the course of Their transcendental pastimes. All of these persons were guilty of killing, abusing and/or raping many innocent people, including brahmins, cows, women and children. None of these sinfully violent and disruptive demons were brahmins or sadhus or disciples of great devotees like Srila Vyasadeva. Yet Lord Balarama considered Romaharshana Suta, a direct disciple of Vyasadeva, to be equally dangerous and destructive, like the other grossly sinful demons He had killed.
We may wonder why the Personality of Godhead, Lord Balarama, would severely punish a sadhu seated as guru, even a voted-in, low-born “guru” like Romaharshana Suta, when, in fact, He had spared and even befriended men like Duryodhana. Krishna had even spared the Kaliya serpent, who had poisoned the waters of the Yamuna and caused death in Vrindaban among Krishna’s intimate devotees. So why did Lord Balarama kill Romaharshana Suta, who was seated as guru and blessed by the great sages at Naimisharanya with long life? Srila Prabhupada explains: “Because Romaharshana’s transcendental realization was not perfect, Lord Balarama remembered his pratiloma (mixed caste) heritage. The idea is that any man can be given the chance become a brahmana, but if he improperly uses the position of a brahmana without actual realization, then his elevation to the brahminical position is not valid.”
These statements above (and others below) suggest low-born persons without full realization in Krishna consciousness should carefully avoid coveting the post of guru. Unless one is a fully self-realized soul ordered by guru and Krishna to act as acharya, he should avoid thinking of himself as diksha-guru, or an exalted Vaishnava capable of delivering transcendental knowledge to new students of Krishna consciousness. “One should not try to be an artificially advanced devotee, thinking, ‘I am a first-class devotee.’ Such thinking should be avoided. It is best not to accept any disciples.” Citing Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, Srila Prabhupada has specifically warned, “Our men, some of them, are becoming sahajiyas. My guru-maharaja has said, ‘When our men will become sahajiyas, oh, they will be more dangerous!’ ”
In other words, low-born, voted-in “gurus” who exploit the sentiments of persons attracted to the path of Krishna consciousness may be as dangerous as those who kill or cause physical harm to others, or those who deliberately disrupt Vedic culture, such as evil kings like Kamsa. We find no mention in this story that Romaharshana Suta was preaching false siddhanta (like mayavad or sunyavad) or was ignorant of Vedic instructions or had grossly deviated from the correct path of sadhana. So, then, what was his terrible mistake for which he received the death penalty? Lord Balarama killed him because he was posing as guru without being fully self-realized. Although he was elected to the acharya post by the assembly of learned sages, his acceptance of this post was false due to the fact that his “transcendental realization was not perfect.”
Srila Prabhupada writes: “After seeing the deficiency of realization in Romaharshana Suta, Lord Balarama decided to chastise him for being puffed up. Lord Balarama therefore said, ‘This man is liable to be awarded the death punishment because, although he has the good qualification of being a disciple of Lord Vyasadeva and although he has studied all the Vedic literatures from this exalted personality, he was not submissive in the presence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.’ “
THE KILLING OF ROMARSHANA SUTA
Srila Prabhupada continues: “From this we can understand that when one is puffed up by material acquisition, he cannot acquire the gentle behavior befitting a brahmana. The learning of such a person is as good as a valuable jewel on the head of a serpent. Despite the valuable jewel on the hood, a serpent is still a serpent and is as fearful as an ordinary serpent. If a person does not become meek and humble, all his study of the Vedas and Puranas and his vast knowledge in the shastras become simply outward dress, like the costume of a theatrical artist dancing on stage. Lord Balarama began to consider thus, ‘I have appeared in order to chastise false persons who are internally impure but externally pose themselves to be very learned and religious. My killing of such persons is proper to check them from further sinful activity.’ “
Srila Prabhupada concludes, “Considering these points, He killed Romaharshana Suta simply by striking him with kusa straw, which is nothing but a blade of grass.”
All the brahmins and sages present there were much aggrieved by this act of the Lord. They all humbly requested the Lord to atone for this action as an example for ordinary human beings. They said, “He was seated on the vyasasana by our election, and when one is seated on the vysasana, it is improper for him to stand up to receive a person. Moreover, we awarded Romaharshana Suta an undisturbed duration of life…” Lord Balarama agreed, saying, “Yes, I must atone for this action, which may have been proper for Me, but is improper for others; therefore, I think it is My duty to execute a suitable act of atonement enjoined in the authorized scriptures…”
Lord Balarama offered to restore the life of Romaharshana, but the learned sages decided they should not nullify the action of Lord Balarama. Following Lord Baladeva’s suggestion, they agreed that their blessings of long life and other benedictions could be transferred to Urgrasava Suta, the son of Romaharshana Suta, who became forever famous as the most illustrious Sri Suta Gosvami. In this way, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Baladeva, removed a false guru and established a genuinely realized soul as leader of the assembly. Thus the stage was set for the continuous performance of pure sravana, kirtana, smarana at this monumental transcendental sacrifice for the benefit of the whole world.
In His purports to Sri Isopanisad, Srila Prabhupada repeatedly stresses that one must hear from and accept only an “undisturbed acharya” to get relief from the bondage of the powerful illusory energy of the Lord. “Unless one hears from the bona fide acharya, who is never disturbed by the changes of the material world, one cannot have the real key to transcendental knowledge.” And throughout His books He emphatically stresses: “One who is disturbed by the whirlpool movements of the material energy is not qualified to become an acharya.” (Sri Isopanisad, Mantra Thirteen, Purport.)
[Final note: Only the Supreme Lord or His deputed agents like Lord Yama can properly chastise false gurus and other miscreants. This is not the duty of ordinary devotees and preachers. It is the duty of some preachers, however, to expose the false ideas promoted by ignorant or envious persons, especially those posing as brahmins and gurus.
A few years ago, I heard that Tamal Krishna Gosvami had been killed in the holy land near Krishna Nagar, apparently without a mark or blood on his body. A senior devotee, who went to identify his body right afterwards, told us his face appeared frozen in fright but there were no major injuries visible on his body. Hearing this, I remembered the picture in Krishna Book of Romaharshana Suta’s frightened face when Balarama killed him, without the usual blood and gore, simply with a blade of grass. I was not happy to hear this news of the demise of Tamal Krishna Gosvami but was amazed to contemplate the causeless mercy of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Balarama. “And as soon as he [the upstart] learns that Guru Maharaja is dead, ‘Now I am so advanced that I can kill my guru and I become guru.’ Then he’s finished.” (Conversation, Aug. 16, 1976, Bombay)]

A men attains greatness by his merits, not simply by occupying an exalted seat. Can we call a crow an eagle ( Garuda) simply because he sits on the top of a tall building ? (Chanakya Pandit)
http://www.harekrsna.org/gbc/black/gopalkri.htm
Nice quote Mohini, the link you supplied to the website, calls Gopal Krishna a Crow-Swami. Is this just a coincident? There is an other nice verse in Sanskrit, describing the crow:
kakah krsnah pikah krshnah ko bedhah pikakakayoho
vasanta kale samprapta Kakah kakah pikah pikah
“The crow is black and the cuckoo looks black also. What is the difference between the two? It is when spring arrives that the crow is identified and the cuckoo is identified as cuckoo” (by their harsh and sweet voice.)
CROW AND EAGLE
The verse given here from Chanakya Pandit’s Niti Shastra is that of a crow, who poses and sits on the pinnacle of a palace and thinks he is an eagle. The eagle is deemed as the king of birds. He has attained that title, not because he sits on the highest peaks, but because he carries with him the grace and the tenacity of a king. That qualifies him for the title. If a crow imitates an eagle by sitting on the apex of a tree, or on the roof top of a palace, it won’t instil in him the other qualities of an eagle.
We live in a world of instant fame and fortune. Many individuals and groups, irrespective of their profiles and occupations, seek immediate success and the propensity to acquire a name for themselves. Yes – it’s all very flattering to have our voices heard amongst the crowd, to have many followers, to be the center of attention, and to have the fame and riches that comes with it, but then all at the sake of one’s integrity, self deception and ultimately deceiving the ignorant masses. The world has changed dramatically over the last century, not just demographically, but also in how we live our lives in this senseless, modern materialistic chaos. The majority of the people is impious and indulges in debauchery. Now and then, when someone does become inquisitive about the true meaning of life, their questions are ready to be answered by the ‘god-men’ who act has gurus and spiritual masters. They’re not difficult to find nowadays since they have sprung up practically everywhere.
Materially speaking, becoming a god-man definitely has its perks. Just imagine – wouldn’t it be a terrific opportunity to take a break from our dull lives, boring families and bullying bosses? Given the endeavor one needs to be even slightly successful in this world, becoming a god-man is probably the easiest way to attain instant fame and fortune. You can avoid the morning rush-hour simply by traveling around the globe in our own private jet and have all material comforts within reach.
All one needs to do is invent some breathing techniques, some yogic exercises or package some speculative mantra meditation, then give it a Sanskrit name and pass it off as ‘spirituality’. Depending on how creative and innovative one wants to get, many tricks could be easily pulled off.
In this day and age, spirituality clearly isn’t about being spiritual and certainly has nothing to do with God anymore. This new brand of spirituality created by the god-men now comes with a business plan, along with marketing, syndication and publishing rights. If you manage to do it well, you can probably have a hundred asramas on six continents named after you! It’s certainly a lucrative way of life – the only sacrifice one has to make is simply to give up one’s daily struggle and hardships and start acting like God Who are these god-men? What are their true intentions and do they have any real concern for the lost souls in this material world?
These god-men are no more than opportunists and businessman peddling their concocted, baseless philosophies in order to live in luxury. They claim that they have divine powers to perform miracles and extraordinary feats gullible people, in desperation, fall prey to their smooth talk and become their followers. They use many popular titles such as Sri Sri, Bhagavan, jagat-guru etc. and claim to be avataras, making a mockery of what the sastras say. However, titles don’t carry much weight when it comes to true excellence and authenticity. All these titles are acquired simply by their expertise in word-jugglery, in performing street magic and in social welfare work. Cap it off with saffron robes, a large rudraksa-mala and long hair and beards and they have the ignorant masses in the palm of their hands.
However, despite their success in attaining many followers, opening asramas, publishing books, performing welfare work etc. such god-men cannot maintain a proper spiritual standard. Because they are not on the platform of suddha-sattva (pure goodness), they eventually have to submit to their base natures again.
THE FALSE GURU
sva yadi kriyate raja
tat kim nasnaty-upanaham
Even if a dog is made king, he will still end up eating someone’s shoe. (Hitopadesa)
One who sincerely desires proper spiritual guidance will certainly find a true bona-fide spiritual master. But someone who wants to compromise their spiritual quest will only find imposters who will loot them in every respect and leave them in such a condition that they will finally lose all faith in the system of guru and disciple. That is why it is imperative that one should first understand what the sastras say about false gurus.
guravo bahavah santi sisya-vittapaharakah
durlabhah sad-gurur devi sisya-santapaharakah
One can find many gurus who can take away the wealth of the disciples, but there are few who can remove the miseries of their disciple. (Padma Purana)
There are also injunctions for abandoning such bogus gurus:
gurur apya avaliptasya karyakaryam ajanatah
utpatha pratipannasya parityago vidhiyate
A guru addicted to sensual pleasure and polluted by vice, who is ignorant and has no power to discriminate between right and wrong, or who is not on the path of suddha-bhakti must be abandoned. (Mahabharata, Udyoga-parva 179.25)
What are the qualifications of a true guru according to scripture? In the Visnu-smrti it says:
krpa-sindhuh su sampurnah – sarva-sattvopakarakah
nisprhah sarvatah siddhah -sarva-vidya-visaradah
sarva-samsaya-samchetta’ – nalaso gurur ahrtah
One who is an ocean of mercy, who is fulfilled in all respects, who has all good qualities, who works for the benefit of all souls, who is free from lust, who is perfect in all respects, who is well-versed in the scriptures, who knows the science of Krsna, who can remove all the doubts of his disciples, and who is always alert in the service of Krsna is known as a genuine guru. (Hari-bhakti-vilasa 1.45-46)
It is also stated in Bhagavatam:
tasmad gurum prapadyeta jijnasuh sreya uttamam
sabde pare ca nisnatam brahmany-upasamasrayam
A person who is searching for the Absolute Ultimate Truth must surrender to a guru who knows the inner meaning of the Vedas, is fixed in the Absolute Truth, and is expert in sastra. (Bhag.11.3.21)
In his Upadesamrta, Srila Rupa Gosvami says:
vaco vegam manasah krodha vegam
jihva vegam udaropastha vegam
etan vegan yo visaheta dhirah
sarvam apimam prthivim sa sisyat
A peaceful sober person who can control the urge to speak, the mind, the urges of anger, the tongue, belly and genitals is qualified to make disciples all over the world. (Upadesamrta 1)
That being said, it also doesn’t matter what caste the guru is from, as supported by this verse from Padma Purana:
vipra ksatriya vaisyas ca guruvah sudra janmanam
sudras ca guravas tesam trayanam bhagavat-priyah
A brahmana, ksatriya, or vaisya can be guru for the sudra class, but a Vaisnava, even if born a sudra, because he is dear to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, can be the guru of these higher orders.
Although a guru must have all the knowledge of the sastras, dry knowledge alone does not qualify a person to become a guru. In Srimad Bhagavatam it says:
sabda-brahmani nisnato na nisnayat pare yadi
sramas tasya srama-phalo hy adhenum iva raksatah
One may be expert in Vedic scholarship, but if he fails to understand the position of the Absolute Truth and doesn’t recognize Krsna as the supreme Personality of Godhead, all his study is a waste of time. His hard work will be his only reward, and his efforts will be like the labor of one who struggles to maintain a cow that has no calf and cannot produce milk. (Bhag.11.11.18)
Hence, the position of guru is like a ‘grand throne’ that may bring many followers, fame, wealth and knowledge, but these are not an indication of one’s greatness or authenticity. One’s greatness comes from one’s virtue and true teachings. It is sheer foolishness to think that anyone simply sitting on the throne of the guru is automatically great! Excellence is attained through efficacy – not by clinging to a tall throne.
A true spiritual master has only come to deliver us from the heat of the huge forest fire of material life. Other than this, he has no other purpose but to rescue as many souls as possible. Pseudo-gurus, on the other hand, only have their own ignorance and confusion to offer to the world. The only miracle that needs to be performed by a guru is the miracle of his instructions – not any conjuring tricks with the willingness to deceive the common people and take them away from the true path to God. A false teacher seeks to bind himself to the energy of his neophyte followers, whereas a sad-guru receives all his energy from his divine guardians above. He has no need to bind himself to his followers – it is we who are dependent upon him and not vice-versa.
Only by praying to Krsna sincerely and taking association of saintly persons can we find a genuine guru. Then with a humble demeanor and with sincere inquiry and service to him, we can tread the path of purification and actually understand the true purpose of human life.
Anyone improperly occupies the position of a Vaishnava without actual Self realization, his elevation to the Vyasasana position is not valid no matter how Big or Small Vyasasana it is.
Vyasasana, Big or Small, does not make the person, Big or Small. That is simply an ILLUSION a show bottle, a Cheating.
It is the Person that sits on the Vyasasana indeed makes the Person, Big or Small as soon as the Person represents his Personality in rendering service to His Guru’s Order.
Who is that Person, you may ask ?
Is he a Gopal Krishna with Big Vyasasana as shown ( as a show bottle only ) ?
or
Is He, His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada Himself who exhibits in his Personality rendering services to His Guru Maharaja Selflessly with a small Vyasasna as shown in the Picture ?
Make a decision, those of you out there following this guru or that guru in the present Iskcon.
Ask the question to your guru, did Srila Prabhupada authorize any of His disciples to become His SUCCESSOR (in this case to Gopal Krishna ) or others as Successors in the present Iskcon world wide ?
If you do not receive the right or proper answer, then reject them, and take a shelter to the Lotus Feet of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada and His VANI.
Simply disguising in rendering such service to the Guru for a Profit, Position and Prestige, and accepting such service from the massive innocent people ( in a false representation as a guru himself ) is known as a Cheating. A Cheater gets cheated and both go to the Hell as we know and understand from the Scripture.
Only Sri Krsna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu can replace His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. NO body else can. Make no mistake about it.
OM TAT SAT.
Hare Krishna. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.
What are the qualities of Gopal Krishna?

SELF-MADE GURU CANNOT BE GURU
“Self-made guru cannot be guru. HE MUST BE AUTHORIZED BY THE BONA FIDE GURU. Then he’s guru. This is the fact…Similarly, bona fide guru means he must be authorized by the superior guru.”
Srila Prabhupada: Try to understand. Don’t go very speedily. A GURU CAN BECOME GURU WHEN HE’S ORDERED BY HIS GURU. That’s all. Otherwise nobody can become guru. (Ref. VedaBase, Bhagavad-gita 7.2 — Nairobi, October 28, 1975)
WHAT IS THE USE OF PRODUCING SOME RASCAL GURU
Srila Prabhupada: People complained against [a GBC for trying to appear and pose as a guru]. You become guru, but you must be QUALIFIED FIRST of all. THEN you become. What is the use of producing some RASCAL GURU?
Tamala Krsna: “It’s clear fact that we are all conditioned souls, so we cannot be guru”
Srila Prabhupada: Don’t be allured by cheap disciples. Go on steadfastly to render service first. If you immediately become guru, then the service activities will be stopped; and as there are so many cheap gurus and cheap disciples, without any substantial knowledge, and manufacturing new sampradayas, and with service activities stopped, and all spiritual progress choked up.
IT IS BEST NOT TO ACCEPT ANY DISCIPLES
Srila Prabhupada: One should not try to be an artificially advanced devotee, thinking, “I am a first-class devotee.” Such thinking should be avoided. It is best not to accept any disciples. One has to become purified at home by chanting the Hare Krsna mahā-mantra and preaching the principles enunciated by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
I AM SO ADVANCED I CAN KILL GURU AND BECOME GURU
Srila Prabhupada: “I am practically seeing that as soon as they, our students, begin to learn a little Sanskrit, they immediately feel they have become more than their guru. Then the policy is to kill their guru and become guru themselves”. “As soon as he learns that Guru Maharaj is dead, now I am so advanced I can kill guru and become guru. Then he is finished.”
In the Padma Purana, the characteristics of the guru, the bona fide spiritual master, have been described: “The guru must be situated on the topmost platform of devotional service.” There are three classes of devotees, and the guru must be accepted from the topmost class. The first-class devotee is the spiritual master for all kinds of people. (Sri Caitanya-caritamrta. Madhya-lila 24.330 The Sixty-One Explanations of the Atmarama

Hare Krishna.
This is another example in a long line of other examples, how Iskcon GBC and other leaders have misunderstood WHO Srila Prabhupada IS. They have not recognised Srila Prabhupada’s very Unique position as The Sampradaya Acharya or Parampara Acharya. Srila Prabhupada is No. 32 in the line of Guru-parampara which is not only very unique position and very rare, but means He is directly empowered and enabled by Lord Krishna Himself to write Books that deliver the Bhakti Lata Bija to new devotees AFTER He has departed this world.
This is the scenario we face to day, that the Founder Acharya of Iskcon IS the Current Link Sampradaya Acharya. This is a formidable position that is only succeeded by a Vaisnava of equal qualification. There have only been 32 such Sampradaya Acharyas since Time begun, in our Line.
And here we have a picture of how much ignorance still abounds in Iskcon by sidelining Srila Prabhupada, with a monstrous seat. The offense is immeasurable, and the scenario statement it is making is total illusion. It is beyond words how misconceived the GBC have resolved the Guru Tattva issues since 1977.
There is no possibility that Srila Prabhupada will be succeeded for at least 9500 years, He is and continues to be the Current Link , He is and always will be the Diksha and Shiksha Guru for all Iskcon devotees, and above all He is the Sampradaya Acharya Who will always deliver the Bhakti lata bija to us all.
What we need to do is to establish Srila Prabhupada in His rightful position within His Iskcon, not just as the obvious Founder-Acharya, nor as just the Diksha and Shiksha Guru for all iskcon devotees, but as the Universal Sampradaya Acharya Who is the Current Link to the Guru-Parampara. This is how we should worship Srila Prabhupada otherwise every endeavor is futile.
From Srila Prabhupada’s purport to text 10.2.31 of Srimad Bhagavtam;
, and if this method is strictly followed, the followers will ultimately reach the destination, by the grace of the Lord. This method is called ācārya-sampradāya. It is therefore said, sampradāya-vihīnā ye mantrās te niṣphalā matāḥ (Padma Purāṇa). The ācārya-sampradāya is strictly bona fide. Therefore one must accept the ācārya-sampradāya; otherwise one’s endeavor will be futile. “
