My Dear Jagannatha Suta das:
Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated August 18, 1975 and have noted the contents. I have received the new issue of “Back to Godhead,” No. 9 and it is done so nicely. It is all very pleasing to me, and I thank you all for this service. The printing I think is actually better than the Japan printing. Long, long ago when I was alone I was thinking of printing like this, but there was no way to do it. Now you American boys and girls are helping me, so I thank you in this regard. I pray to Krishna for your continued enthusiasm in spreading Krishna consciousness.
The article on Marxism is very much appreciated. We can say all these big so-called philosophers are all simply mudhas. Perhaps I am the first to do it. Our philosophy is perfect, and we cannot be defeated by anyone. So it is up to you to learn it and be able to present it nicely. Now you have everything, respect, philosophy, money, temples, books, all these things I have given, but I am an old man and my notice is already there. Now it is up to you all how to manage it. If you cannot increase it, you should at least maintain what I have given you. You cannot accuse me that I have not given you anything. So it is a great responsibility you now have. TEMPLES MAY GO… BOOKS SHALL REMAIN
“Yes, I want that you give me that facility to write my books, but I can attend some meetings of important people and elites. You have taken the right view of the importance of my books. Books will always remain. That was the view of my Guru Maharaja, and I also have taken it. Therefore I started my movement with my books. And we shall be able to maintain everything with the sales of the books. The temples will be maintained by the book sales, and if there are no more temples, then the books shall remain.” (Hamsadutta, 11/8/73)

You mention you like to speak now very often, but the first business should be to preach to the devotees. It is better to maintain a devotee than to try to convince others to become devotees. It is the duty of the GBC to maintain the devotees, keep them in the highest standard of Krishna Consciousness, and give them all good instruction, and let them go out and preach for making more devotees. Your first job should be to make sure that every one of the devotees in your zone of management is reading regularly our literatures and discussing the subject matter seriously from different angles of seeing, and that they are somehow or other absorbing the knowledge of Krishna Consciousness philosophy. If they are fully educated in our philosophy and if they can get all of the knowledge and study it from every viewpoint, then very easily they will perform tapasya or renunciation and that will be their advancement in Krishna Consciousness. So first thing is to instruct all of your temple presidents and the other devotees to read daily, just as we have done in our morning class in Los Angeles. You may remember that we were reading one sloka each morning in Sanskrit and reciting it altogether and then discussing it thoroughly by seeing different new things. So you introduce this system and train the devotees first. Don’t be too much concerned for the time being with nondevotees, now we must fix-up what devotees we have got in the knowledge of Krishna Consciousness, then we will succeed.
What good are many, many devotees if none of them are knowledgeable? You mentioned that you are not yet a very bold preacher, but you will become bold, if you have got sincerity. In the beginning also I could not speak. But Krishna is within you, and when you are serving Him sincerely He will give you courage, boldness, everything. We are not going to bluff anyone or cheat others, and we are delivering the message on behalf of the Supreme Lord, so we haven’t got anything to fear and we should be always mindful of our topmost position of occupation of life. To be the messenger of the king is practically as good as to be the king, so the king is the most exalted position. I act like a king because no one can defeat me, and similarly, you should take your responsibility very, very seriously as being the representative of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Who is God Himself, and always remember that you are one of the few men I have appointed to carry on my work throughout the world and your mission before you is huge. Therefore, always pray to Krishna to give you strength for accomplishing this mission by doing what I am doing. My first business is to give the devotees the proper knowledge and engage them in devotional service, so that is not very difficult task for you, I have given you everything, so read and speak from the books and so many new lights will come out. Some Conclusions — So what to do in this current situation of no more bonafide iskcon temples?
Make your home a temple-that is the only solution at present, if you want to remain as a devotee. Now it has become basically- every man for himself, unfortunately. The chaos that was present before the appearance of Srila Prabhupada has now again returned. Srila Prabhupada wrote… “Now you have everything, respect, philosophy, money, temples, books, all these things I have given”. Unfortunately this is also gone and the only thing remaining is his Transcendental (original) books as he predicted.

The proof is there also I mean from the person and the book BHAGAVATA we got the nectar of immortality stored still in that house THEY CREATED where the whole world can live in, SRILA PRABHUPADA GAVE US EVERYTHING so nobody can accuse Him of any fault of course is taking time before the whole world wake up by discovering the matchless gift HE gave to us with plenty of spiritual stocks for this godless world made by hoax ,the demons first got rid of the person BHAGAVATA then still trying to change the unchanged because have not brain anymore by keeping going against SRILA PRABHUPADA. Yes. This must be presented. Presented to who? Those who do not know. There have been great strides made over the last ten years to present that which Srila Prabhupada has given us. It may appear that not much has been gained but that is because the waters have been muddied. Now is past the time to actually go outside to the cities and towns as much as possible for one on one with those who are suffering. Talk to them and teach them personally as much as possible. Lord Caitanya’s movement is just getting started.
Sometime next year I predict that starting in the US we will see and hear more old-fashioned Hari Nam. Two clips from this year below. It is not that Srila Prabhupada is gone from our association so don’t be fooled by that impression here or that a great deal has been lost. NO!

Prahlāda Mahārāja said: My Lord, it is Your Lordship who gave this Bali the very great opulence of the post of heavenly king, and now, today, it is You who have taken it all away. I think You have acted with equal beauty in both ways. PURPORT
The words ko vicaṣṭe gatim ātmano yathā indicate that when one is puffed up by the false prestige of possessing material opulence, he certainly neglects the goal of self-realization. This is the position of the modern world. Because of so-called scientific improvements in material opulence, people have entirely given up the path of self-realization. Practically no one is interested in God, one’s relationship with God or how one should act. Modern men have altogether forgotten such questions because they are mad for material possessions. IF THIS KIND OF CIVILIZATION CONTINUES, THE TIME WILL SOON COME when the Supreme Personality of Godhead will take away all the material opulences. Then people will come to their senses.

Within 100 years their plans of controlling humanity by deceit and/or force have failed. The people of China and Russia could not be controlled by raw force for a prolonged period of time. Not being preoccupied with materialistic/satanic ambitions, goals and deprived of physical association, they will gladly listen to messages of real devotees about a spiritual abode full of eternity, knowledge and bliss without a trace of material faults and shortcomings. Preaching will be easy and Lord Caitanya’s predictions will finally come true. What is 500 years, what is 50 years? It is a fraction of a moment of Lord Brahma looking sideways. Time is on the side of the righteous, it is a battle in the heart. Time is on the side of the one who is working to purify his heart from unwanted/satanic desires, from unwanted/satanic habits and who cultivates the desire to serve the Lord of the heart. What we see unfolding are the ripening of the fruits of lifetimes of activities of serving unwanted/satanic desires, the ripened fruits of lifetimes of cultivating unwanted/satanic habits destroying all good qualities of men. They are the ripe fruits of lifetimes of satanic activities which have destroyed all good qualities in the hearts of men. True religion is eternally seated in everyone’s heart and it can only be uncovered if people will develop a desire to listen. This listening process has been disturbed by the loud sounds and sights of materialistic/satanic/irreligious vested interests of a few to the disadvantage of the many. The battlefield is the heart and this battle can only be won by a purified heart when the living entity has started to come to it’s senses.
