The BBC in covering the Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration yesterday published an article on its website using in its title ‘….Hindu temple on razed Babri mosque site’.
Being a public tax funded broadcaster that has a self proclaimed responsibility for impartial reporting and an equal responsibility towards community cohesion it does not appear to many many Hindus in this country that what was published is fair, sensible and accurate. It is of huge concern to Hindus in the UK that the tone of the language used in the article is inflammatory on the celebrations on the opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22nd 2024. Was it really necessary to use the words in the title? If that were the case why did the BBC then not also highlight the ‘razing’ of the original Ram Mandir 500 years ago on which the mosque stood on, which is entirely the case the courts in India determined.?
In the article you briefly mention the Supreme Court of India judgement in handing the site to Hindu’s but didn’t provide any clarity on that being evidenced based on historical and archaeologist records, specialists in their field and site excavations? Its seems you are selective in your analysis and reporting when you say “Many Hindus believe the Babri mosque was built by Muslim invaders on the ruins of a temple where the Hindu god was born”. Are you saying India’s highest court that is internationally respected based its judgement on ‘what many Hindu believe’, rather than the factual evidence presented to it that was throughly cross examined? Is it only the BBC that can establish what a fact is?
While the large majority of the population of India (of all communities) has celebrated this great event, the negative language, often used by the BBC, will cause a potential rise in disharmony amongst minority communities in the UK. which it seems the BBC is keen to promote or at least is not remotely concerned about.
The Hindu community are also license payers and as other communities have reasonable expectations that its public broadcaster acts and behaviours in a responsible, transparent and fair manner and not act as ‘fuel’ to set ablaze negative community sentiments in this country or elsewhere. This BBC article is amateurish, not impartial and reflects an ongoing trend by the BBC in projecting anti Hindu sentiments and demeaning India and its political leadership.
As a BBC licence fee payer I together with over 1 million Hindus in UK would like to know what the BBC’s stance is on this matter and whether we can continue to expect this quality of biased reporting?
I am copying this communication to my local Member of Parliament to highlight my concern.

This Bindu Madhava is the oldest Visnu temple in Varanasi. Presently this temple is known as Veni Madhava, and it is situated on the banks of the Ganges. Formerly five rivers converged there, and they were named Dhutapapa, Kirana, Sarasvati, Ganga and Yamuna. Now only the River Ganges is visible. The old temple of Bindu Madhava, which was visited by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, was later dismantled by Aurangzeb, the great Hindu-hating emperor of the Mogul dynasty. In the place of this temple, he constructed a big majida, or mosque. Later, another temple was constructed by the side of the mosque, and this temple is still existing. In the temple of Bindu Madhava there are Deities of four-handed Narayana and the goddess Laksmi. In front of these Deities is a column of Sri Garuda, and along the side are deities of Lord Rama, Sita, Laksmana and Sri Hanumanji.

But there are signs and indications for rumblings behind the curtain now and it seems as though the rumbling is increasing. “To tank” means to loose deliberately and this is what politicians are being told to do to this country, they are tanking the motor of the EU economy by pushing the fast forward bottom. In contrast to the above it is fascinating and invigorating to see the inauguration of Lord Ram Lalla at Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. All the chanting over days will purify the Kaliyuga atmosphere and it is enlivening to see that it looks as if India is finally getting back on track in regards to reacknowledging the importance of its millions of years old and great culture and in remembering its inherent spiritual heritage.
Interestingly the construction start of the Ram Mandir coincided with the start of the plandemic in 2020. A most auspicious project against the backdrop of most inauspicious happenings.
This shows how the Lord, mostly unbeknownst to His enemies, cleverly used these four years of lockdowns (also in India) for the purpose of His descent by speedily reestablishing His official address in His eternal residence in Ayodhya, coming back timely to aid Lord Caitanya’s Sankirtan Movement.
