Feb 27, USA (SUN) — The Bhaktivedanta Archives have more than 500 unreleased recordings of His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. These recordings are not transcribed in the Vedabase or published in any other way. A large percentage of these unreleased original recordings are not even preserved in a digital, non-time sensitive format.
If nothing is done soon, the original reels will completely demagnetize due to the influence of time and the sound will become forever lost. Please take a moment to sign this petition to show that devotees worldwide indeed want to hear all of this audio, and want it all to be released immediately. Please pass this message on to others. If you would ask Srila Prabhupada personally if it’s appropriate to publish his unchanged audio, what would be the answer? Remember, you are dealing with Srila Prabhupadas precious vani which not only should be safeguarded in any possible way, thus not locked away, but rather preserved against loss – magnetic tapes are not made for lasting eternally! It should be published right now and spread in any possible way. A lot of devotees will help preserving them.
Actually conspiracy theorists such as this, are basing themselves on unfounded claims. How did you “know” what the nature of the reels were, surely if they were so desperate to hide Prabhupada’s vani, they would not even let you know how much is left. They have already done a great service, already published thousands of audio, and you are still not appreciating them. Please to not offend the people who are working hard in preparing the audios. This “demagnetised” claim is a lie.
